You dont want Toney for £100M when he turns 28 in March. Not a good investment. You want someone who is 23/24 who can be there for a good 4-5 yrs. Toney may not go on to be that player you think he is at a bigger club. Its easy scoring goals for a club with no pressure. Look at Darwin at Pool
The reason why some fans are suggesting that Arteta should be out at the end of the season if we don’t win anything again is not because they don’t appreciate where he has brought the club to but they have observed a certain stubbornness in his ways that is costing the club. His squad rotation can be better than what it is. He has this thinking out of the box thing he does where he wants to do something different than everyone else and only him sees it like the Haverts signing. Secondly why is he not using the academy players more? Nwaneri sitting on the bench even in the last CL game then the same subs brought on too late and clubs have found us out. If Arteta is to stay on after the season let’s just accept aiming for top 4 each season period .
Does Arteta not think that other players are seeing how he has treated Ramsdale and a few other players ? Why is it that once a player is not impressed by Arteta he does not give them enough chance. players like Smith Rowe when giving minutes have to score a hat trick to get more game time which is why he was in tears when he missed a chance the other day because he knows Mikel may not let him play. Arteta needs to rotate the squad more like other teams and include the hungry youth players which is how Saka got a chance to shine. He should stop this stubbornness
