Sergiño Dest is the latest American to make a big-money move to a massive club, spurning advances from European champions Bayern Munich to join Barcelona. At his introductory press conference, Dest identified former Barca right back Dani Alves as his idol, but how soon will he have a chance to get on the pitch and follow in the Brazilian’s footsteps? ESPN FC’s Julien Laurens, Gab Marcotti and Shaka Hislop discuss Dest’s arrival at Barcelona and whether he is capable of quickly overtaking Sergi Roberto as the preferred right back.

  1. It's ok to be nervous for all young players especially if u are given chance at real Madrid or Barcelona but these lads wouldn't know it, because there biggest highlight of career would have been playing some cup games against a third tier team.

  2. Lowlife ESPN ppl are running out of things to report on. His presentation was much better than most barça signees' presentation in the past

  3. What do i care if Dest can juggle with the ball. He is a player with a lot of potential. More than Sergio Roberto as rb. I dont think he will start on sunday. I can imagen it is all overwelming for Dest. He will get some minites from Koeman in the second half.

  4. Does Erik Ten Hag stand a chance at Ajax?
At one point he was tipped to take over from Kovac at Bayern Munich. Now he is the forgotten man of football management.
In the past Ajax were more successful when they waited 2 to 3 years before selling their best players but this constant selling over the past 2 years has just bled their team dry.
I would not want to be an Ajax fan playing in the Champions League this season.
Even a quality manager like Ten Hag needs quality footballers to work with.

  5. Johan Cruyff: “Technique is not being able . Anyone  do that by practicing. Then  work in the circus. Technique is passing the  with  touch, with the right speed, at the right foot of your team mate.”

  6. I swear nobody watched the whole presentation. He did almost 4 minutes of stuff but of course the media only talks about the 10 secs where he failed. Typical.

  7. Sergi Roberto was world class last game. And I do think that Barca will prefer have one primarily defending full back who can go forward like the last goal. If a team then congests the left side, Xoutonho can just move to the right and be work with Greizmann and Messi.

  8. Man these guys are absolutely disgusting. A young prospect joins one of the European giants in football and these morons here starts by the tricks he failed to complete in his presentation 🤦‍♂️
