  1. depends, id love to actually know how FFP works and to see the big picture rather than educated guesses, but based off what I think i know I'm with Jordan with the added rest etc i dont think we NEED anything especially not at the cost of the future. so id rather see a quiet window to go big in the summer if it means sticking to a masterplan, overspending could easily cause more issues.

  2. No rhythm with 11 knackered players and players coming back too early. I have full faith in Eddie and his team. He's been dealt a bad hand that nobody, absolutely nobody, could have foreseen.

  3. Desperately need a keeper. A RW is a close second but without someone who's a bit more Pope-like, our whole system is shot.

Ramsdale on loan then that lad from Valencia in the summer would do nicely, but I don't see it happening.

  4. What you don’t need after an utter embarrassment v a bottom 5 side…..is Liverpool away under the lights….but hwtl as per šŸ˜®šŸ˜‚

  5. Eddie Howe is morphing into Steve Bruce if any of you boys have EH tell him to stop mugging us off with the injury updates fastest way to lose our supportv

  6. I''d start big Joe against Liverpool and give Gordon a rest he's been running on fumes for a while, a thing people don't point out is that Miggy and Gordon do so much work defensively as well but just don't have the energy levels at the minute to do so imo.

  7. What was your take on Eddie today? I think he looks tired and that I got more of a stressed vibe from him than before. He’s still talking sense, and is thoughtful and erudite but I just thought he was looking like a manager who is feeling it right now. How did he ā€˜feel’ to you guys?

  8. Tyne-Wear derby is vitally important to NUFC fans, but it's of minimal importance to PIF/Saudis – they will be much more concerned about league-position trajectory – and associated revenue, momentum, prestige for the project and their sunk and potential future investment. Jan is going to be very tough month on current form.

  9. People talking with assurance about the January window remind me of a quote about quantum physics – ā€˜if you think you understand quantum physics then you don’t understand quantum physics!ā€ Well, I think that if you think you can make sense of the competing factors around our transfer window (long term, short term, who’s available, injuries returning, academy and loans and, of course, PAS rules) then you’ve not appreciated the complexity of the issue.

  10. January was always going to be tough which was why Luton and forest were critical. However I am still right behind Eddie, we were always going to have a tough phase and I also think he has missed having time with the players on the training ground. CL has not allowed that to happen. Keeper for me most critical signing. Loved you guys this season, been great to have your views and a lot better than the Oliver Holt’s. Happy New Year and let’s hope we get something from Anfield.

  11. Ahead of the January transfer window, here are my thoughts on FFP.

    Sod it!

Spend what you like. The Saudis are good for it. Look how much they've spent on 'over the hill' players for the PIF teams in the Saudi League!

Then, argue the legal case for as long as you can deferring any punishment.

When ,and if the punishment comes, you have either a loss of points or in the Championship. You still end up with a great team to continue in that season and the ones to come. That's what Man City did and they still haven't been punished!

Would that work or am I missing something?

  12. It's a result based game ..end of! You can only live off the past for so long.fans seem to forget that we had a four week break for the world cup last season, prior to Xmas our form was poor, the break helped hugely.would burn, longstaff schar miggy Murphy dummet get a game for Liverpool, arsenal, man utd or even Aston villa no chance.yet we are handing out new contracts to these players, utter nonsense.

  13. Next Time your at a Press Conference could one of you ask why can't Loris Karius get any game time and why is he there along with Mark Gillespie I Don't want to sound Harsh but they are Stealing a Living from the club and taking up Precious Squad Places if there no Good I just cant work out why there here if they can't get a game Especially if it's true were Looking at another Keeper I think it's Important with you being the Geordie Faithfull's voice that this need's Addressing by Eddie
