I think Southgate would make a very good Premiership manager . His time with players at England is limited . His time with players at a club would be another thing altogether
Gareth yes sir Southgate is not even championship standard does all the pr well says right things but at some point and proven with England there comes a moment where you have to try and win a game and Gareth will decide every time to try his best to not loose it and his squad choices at moment are laughable England should be the pinnacle and it’s easier to get into the England squad then it is Man City’s
Englands results under Southgate’s term have been due to him being blessed with an insanely good squad. He is not a good manager and is a championship manager at best. If he takes any premiere league job he will struggle

England genuinely have a better squad than any national or club team in the world imo. Southgate has never beaten a top 8 nation in any tournament. He couldn't even beat a sorry Italy team in Wembley. Horrible manager

Rory talks a lot of non-sense but he's spot on in regards to Southgate. The media's love for him I can't understand.
I honestly think the average football fan in the street, who knows just the tiniest thing about tactics would do an equal job.
That style of play in the Premier League is mid-table at best for a big club, or relegation for a lesser one. To have that amount of quality and not let them play freely with attack as the best form of defence is like putting a racehorse in chains.
It is desperately negative & a complete borefest. I hope someone with more balls takes the job, but that’s down to the FA committee and how courageous they are.
If we actually played to win with passion, with our group of players and the right manager you could create utter magic and leave opponents absolutely spellbound.
I really do hope we win the Euros, but like so many have said, any success will be – just like it has been – despite having Southgate as manager, not because of him.

Well Chelsea is a championship level team currently, so i`d say Southgate is at the level of Chelsea.

These absolute nobody’s now being broadcasters? Doing my head in.. I’m by no means a Southgate fan but Rory saying he will never get a job in the prem? We all know he will.. rory said hodgson was a terrible England manager yet he’s managed to get a few prem jobs?
His decision making during games is some of the worst i have ever seen. Its like he doesn't know what to do. Or is stubborn and keeps his favourites on to try and prove the haters wrong, the trouble is you have to win to do that, otherwise you give us more ammo, and there is plenty of that! But when he does make a decision durning a game its normally the wrong one where he brings on another favourite instead of someone better suited for the job.

Southgate has looked good because England have lowerd their standards from wanting to win the world cups and euros to trying really hard and sounding nice in the press is now sufficient.
