      Jog down the wing, cut inside and pass it, or draw a foul. That's Grealish's playstyle. Doku has come in and ousted him from the team instantly. Grealish has no end product. 5 goals and 7 assists in the league last season wasn't it?

      Graeme sourness you were a decent player … but you would never ever be able to keep up with pace of football these days .. so really you shouldn't have an opinion .. maybe Zidane or something but certainly not you 😂😂

      I’m a city fan, and I have to agree with this. I hate seeing him get the ball because all he does is go down the line and then eventually cut inside if he doesn’t lose it. There is so many times that he has a cross on early and doesn’t see it. Instead he take forever trying to take on one defender and then cut inside just to take a finesse shot that is either gonna miss the net or get blocked. I get that he helps us get fouls, but why is that even valuable to us when we don’t have a big team, we rarely score off the free kicks he concedes. I always thought we overpaid for him, is he a good player? Yes! Of course, I won’t say he isn’t, he helped us win a treble. But when you see Doku come in and do what he does, you have to question grealish. Doku does exactly what grealish does but actually with more intensity and is way way faster then him

      Grealish is following his manager's instructions to maintain possession. Doesn't he think that Guardiola is aware of this and the pros and cons of a Jack Grealish. Doku is totally different. Each footballer has their merits depending on the situation.

      It’s like Joe Cole! They coach all the skill out of them and turn the flare players into robotic defensive type players in the hope that you can win things on one nil victories alone.

      It's just another example of pep being a chequebook manager really isn't it. I mean imagine having the luxury to have a 100mil player sitting on the bench and bring in someone like doku to start ahead of him just like that. Money money money is the only solution. If pep is such a great manager why doesn't he develop the likes of grealish and Phillips rather than whipping out the dosh every time?

      Dwelling on the ball and number of touches are two different things. Modern football is missing those pure footballers who could run and past players, the dribblers and is all the more poorer for it. George Best, John Barnes, Ginola, those are the players that get you on the edge of your seat.

      Another "in my day" lazy analysis. Grealish does way more than what people give him credit for he has the highest number starter play assists in the league

      I really enjoy Graeme's look at football, very clean cut and simple; I believe Jacko can offer a lot more to City but Guardiola demands that Grealish slows down the pace of the city's game by controlling the ball and being fouled! Tottenham would take him, Madison an Grealish could iplay each other tactically and technically…more shots on goal and 3rd tier assists from Jacko and more through balls from James. Pogda is a genius dolt when it comes to his club career, minimum effort, maximum rewards! If Mourinho had been given full control of the Man Utd:
      a) Pogba would not have signed to Man Utd
      b) Antony and Sancho, Van de Berk and Martial, Maguire and Mount….
      Man Utd needs 2/3 years of top recruitment and a top manager to consider winning the league by 2030

      Grealish is wasted at Man City and I would take him back at the Villa in a heartbeat. MC use him as a decoy and take one of their best players out of the game. He is "Roy of the Rovers". He needs to be involved and not stuck out on the wing to be used as a decoy while his team mates keep moving the ball from one side of the pitch to the other. Come home Jack and play for us as a No'10 linking our midfield and attack. Grealish hardly ever loses possession and works hard for the team defensively.

      Villa buy him in a heartbeat. He is not used to the best of his ability. You haven't seen what he can do. Man City have a team full star players. Souness thinks he's a wide boy who likes boozing. Grealish is well brought up, honest family guy who cares about people and always reacts well to fans. Man City waste his talents! My Xmas wish is to get him back to Villa Park under Unai Emery as a No'10. His work ethic is 2nd to none. He single handedly got Villa promoted, kept us up and signed a contract with a £100m buy out clause guaranteeing Villa a big payday. As club captain he was a natural leader. It is criminal that he is playing at Man City the way he is used. Its like driving a Ferrari with the handbrake on
