I just wonder why Hojlund didn't cut inside those 4 defenders to shorten the distance between him and Garnacho so the pass and the tap in would be easier. I don't see the right angle that Garnacho could pass the ball without being intercepted if Hojlund continued to run outside.

Blame Eric Ten Hag. Hoijlund is a prolific goal scorer very fast and with good ball control and powerful shooting. Unfortunately Ten Hag is not using the right strategy of attack with the skills of Hoijlund available. Ten Hag's players are still playing the slow attacking mode of passing the ball around without purpose, not mentioning 70 % of their time doing back passes instead of going forward. But the unforgivable part is that Hoijlund is not getting any support from the midfield and not enough from the wing. You can count number of crosses delivered to him over the fingers of one hand. If his players are not feeding him with through balls (of which he has advantage because of his speed) or crosses from the wing how can he as a central striker get any chance to score? The fault lies with the manager who is incompetent and doesn't have any attack strategy. Worst still he doesn't have any defence strategy either. He has never heard if man marking.
You should show hojlund also had a terrible performance that night. Stop blaming like he is good player
