Jurgen Klopp and Roy Hodgson had very different reactions to Jordan Ayew’s dismissal for Crystal Palace against Liverpool.
Shortly after Ayew’s second yellow, Mo Salah scored Liverpool’s equaliser before Harvey Elliott won the game in injury time, taking the Reds to the top of the Premier League.

Old man yells at cloud😂.
Roy should retire . He is too old to participate in prof football
These refs at the moment are rubbish honestly every game now ffs
Hodgson moaning again saying he disagrees with the red card , Ayew got what he deserved two yellows, he had not long been booked so he shouldn't have committed the tactical foul, it is his own fault ang he knew exactly what he was doing, notice though how woy didn't complain about the pen, they shouldn't have even been given the pen as 2 phases of play had gone by when the ref was told by VAR to stop the game and go look at the monitor, yet when Liverpool played Spurs and VAR realised they made that huge mistake they said they could not stop the game as it had already restarted, yet today they could suddenly stop the game so whats the difference between the 2 games
Arsenal didn't get a penalty for an identical foul that CP did!
What about joel ward, he should have been sent off, he clearly took jones out before the salah goal!
Dry your eyes mate🎵🎵🎵…YNWA💚
The first yellow card for Ayew was harsh because he didn't actually touch the ball 😂 but but a big but lol , it certainly was a second yellow card then a red 😂
Woh soy!
The play had restarted and then 5 minutes later, CP was awarded a penalty. Roy can cry all he wants but the ref screwed up one call for each team today.
I would prefer to play a Fulham any day of the week where you get a team actually trying to beat you than one that puts 9 men behind the ball and impedes you every time you try to advance. I'm my view palace were chancing their arm as every time they impeded the referee gave them a yellow. He was consistent they should have known
We're shit I'm shit but it's the refs fault 😢😢😂😂😂
Interesting how Ayew was given a second yellow for obstructing the free kick yet other players in other matches today did the same thing but nothing?
He’s delusional
Ridiculous statement blaming VVD. Pathetic. YNWA
During THAT Spurs game we were told there's nothing could be done once the play was allowed to proceed. "Can't do anything about it" remember? So apparently that was yet another damn lie, since somehow its ok to pull the game back like 2 mins after the play resumed & awarded a penalty
So now we need VAAR to assist the VAR. VAR has killed the PL and it’s getting worse every week.
Cant tackle anymore its a yellow card. The game has gone crazy VAR WTF.
w
Joe Gomez was clear on the right had Elliot got the pass away so it was a blatant 2nd yellow. Roy needs to stop blaming everyone else and get his team playing again.
100% a yellow card offence.
Only rafa benitez is a bigger conman than woy. How they keep getting jobs shows how thick club owners are.
Woy bitter… please retire and get a rest!
2 professional fouls and the referee dealt with them both. Well done referee the less we see of these professional fouls the better clubs have been getting away with them for years.
as said in earlier comment i agree that prem league has lied that the game cannot be stopped once play has resumed ,as in yesterday game for the penalty ref did exactly that, whats the diff between this and spurs game
Jota got two yellows for not touching players
Roy looks so old
Just retire ffs.
While watching on TV I shouted "Yellow" forgetting he already had one. LFC were on the verge of powering on but a tactical foul is still a foul stopping play. Deseved sending off 'cos of two X Yellow
Will Hughes should have got a yellow card for fouling Endo, he got another yellow card later in the game, so he could have been sent off. However, Joel Ward kicked Curtis Jones legs away (for Salah's assist) without touching the ball. This should have been a yellow card, regardless of whether the action led to a goal or not. Too much focus on tactical fouls and not the physical ones.
Anderson should of been sent off for foul on jones
He puts us under pressure as if we unfairly won a penalty and tries to overshadow our rightful victory. If you commit a tactical foul against the man who is trying to counter attack, you will receive the second yellow card, it's that simple. Our pure victory cannot be ignored by hiding our cowardly defeat.
Roys face looks like its melting
When I read the comments on here, presumably from rival fans it makes me sick. When these decisions go against your team the way they did against Palace you will also be moaning and crying in your beer. Enough is enough, as fans we need to stick together for the better of the game. The standard of referees in this league is a joke. In the Spurs game how did Romero not get a red? In the City game how was there not a red against the Luton player against Foden? How was it not a penalty on Gabriel Jesus for an identical challenge to the Crystal Palace penalty? Total incompetence. And the two yellow cards against Liverpool v Spurs earlier in the season.
Please Please, put your loyalty aside and speak out against all bad refereeing decisions. It’s killing our game.
I don’t know what decision went against Liverpool but the sending off was a game changer. Liverpool did very little before that and even Klopp said from minute 76 his team played well. I just think as football fans we need to fight for a better standard of refereeing and not only when it goes against us. BTW I don’t support Palace or Liverpool. I’m a fan of football.
