Seems to have gone under the radar with everything else going on, but absolutely brilliant to see him back. Given it’d been well over a year out with what was allegedly just a hamstring issue I was starting to fear another O’Connell situation
Not expecting him to be back in the starting XI in the immediate future or anything and will probably take him a while to get up to speed once he does return, but my god how we’ve needed a competent left back. If he can return to the levels he was at pre injury then it’ll save us a big headache in January and the Summer

If we had him a left back this whole time I think things would’ve been different. Not just this season but last too. That left side combo of him and Lowe, with Egan, Anel and Baldock completing the defence, was rock solid and very creative last year.
