Dwight McNeil struck a second-half winner as Everton began the processes of clawing back the points they’ve been deducted with a 1-0 victory at Nottingham Forest, which lifts them up to 18th, two points from safety.

People are saying it should of been a pen which I won’t say it wasn’t but let’s talk about the red card call against Notts Forrest player that should of been a red so it kind of eliminates the penalty really. Everton dominated the whole game 100% deserved the win

Brendan Rodgers has been quoted in his press conference this afternoon saying that over the next two windows he wants to add four “established quality” players. Now to me, an established player means someone who has played at a high level for a considerable number of years, maybe not necessarily the youngest, but somebody who is proven that can add INSTANT success.
Walace is EXACTLY what Celtic are missing! Udinese compete in Serie A year after year and the foundation of their success is their workhorse mentality. They are very physical, very aggressive and give their opponents virtually zero time on the ball. Very different to the vast majority of the teams in Italy. The bedrock of this is their captain and midfield general – Walace.
The Celtic fan base have been crying out for years now for an aggressive, no-nonsense general to sit at the base of our midfield. Callum McGregor is good, but he’s not that sort of player. Walace would be absolutely PERFECT to fill that role! A South American enforcer in our midfield would do wonders for our team and would majorly help to give us more control in European ties (especially away from home).
Walace came through the Grêmio academy in Brazil before moving to Germany to play for Hamburg, then onto Hannover where Udinese signed him for a mere €6M in 2019. Having experience of playing in all of the Brazilian Série A, the German Bundesliga and the Italian Serie A – three leagues with vastly different styles. Walace would add major quality, not just to our squad, but to our STARTING ELEVEN!
If Walace was in his early twenties there’s absolutely no chance Celtic could afford him, he’ll be 29 years-old in April and so could an offer of around £6-8M secure his services? I’m not sure. The one thing that you could guarantee is instant success with a player of Walace’s caliber and you would still get a solid five seasons out of him easily. Walace would be the PERFECT example of that “established quality” Brendan Rodgers is talking about!

Critical 3 points today, Two bad missed chances in the first half, you gotta be putting those away. We were very very lucky not to give away a penalty. Anyone else think Chermiti has absolutely no sense or urgency in pressing?? In the last 10 mins when Forest were pressing I thought he was only trotting around up front rather than trying to make it difficult for them to get the ball forward.

We were desperately poor today, couldnt keep the ball for long spells and didnt create much. We miss Brennan and Taiwo and MGW is wasted on the right. Ive been a SC fan but cant see the owner being patient for much longer unless we play better than this.
