Walid Regragui – Sofyan Amrabat is a World-Class Player!

Sofyan Amrabat (Arabic: سفيان أمرابط; born 21 August 1996) is a Moroccan professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Serie A club Fiorentina. Born in the Netherlands, he represents the Morocco national team.

Sofyan Amraba represented the Netherlands internationally at youth level in 2010, before switching allegiance to Morocco’s youth national team in 2013, representing them at senior level from 2017.

On 31 January 2020, Hellas Verona exercised their option to purchase his rights from Club Brugge and immediately re-sold Sofyan Amraba to Fiorentina. In return, Fiorentina loaned Sofyan Amraba back to Verona until the end of the 2019–20 season.

Sofyan Amraba later represented the Morocco national under-17 football team at the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup. He made his senior debut for the Morocco national team in a 1–0 friendly win over Tunisia.

In May 2018, Sofyan Amraba was named in Morocco’s 23-man squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. On 10 November 2022, Sofyan Amraba was named in Morocco’s 23-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Walid Regragui is a Moroccan football manager and a retired professional footballer who played as a defender. He is the head coach of the Morocco national football team.
