with the lack of success we've had with past signings we're so paranoid smh, we haven't tested Jackson but we automatically start doubting him and feel he isn't the finished artictle because he isn't a big name like oshimen.

Chelsea project is to sign top young potential stars but as a team we lost two key experienced players kovacic and kante we need replacements for these two.

I am really excited about the prospect of Jackson. I think with Nkunku we have a good attacking option. He looks like a hardworking defender.

We’re obviously going for a top 4 position, but I wonder if the Winstanley/Stewart/Poch thinking is more on getting the squad set and incubating it over the coming season, relentlessly drilling it until you have a cohesive unit with a high ceiling.

Did you get the chance to read Matt Law's piece in today's Telegraph. He's pretty scathing about our letting Mount go, and especially to a direct competitor, and it's pretty difficult to argue with his reasoning. I didn't reckon Abramovich's policies over the past few years too clever, but this crew, banking on a large number of unproven foreign youngsters might make their predecessors look brilliant. And the nature of the negotiations with Mount (if 'negotiations' isn't too generous description) were dismal. An embarrassment. And so the dream of Mount and Rice leading our team dies a forlorn death.

Looking forward to that Ruben video.. still one of my fav players, will definitely be keeping an eye on him there
