The premier League game finished Burnley 1-2 West Ham but the introduction of Divin Mubama helped The Hammers rescue the points. Mubama and the exceptional Mohammed Kudus were too much for Vincent Kompany’s team who up to that point had found it easy against David Moyes men.

  1. Unless we want to talk about this game for the rest of the season & for evermore afterwards (apart from maybe the Mubama introduction bit) then it's worth doing exactly
what Moyes said and take the points, then very quickly move on (to Serbia!). He also spoke well about our Divin. I do hope the way he is being managed will bode well for
his and our long term future. I am sure those in charge know the value and the potential what this lad could reach given the right time.
I'm very surprised you don't understand the effect an International break can have on the players fitness & team's preparations for the following game(s) coming up. Antonio
& Bowen absence had an adverse effect on us for one and even Mr Arteta mentioned it, after his 'Top of the Table' team, lacklustre & lucky late winning performance. COYI!

  2. Ings should never be seen in the shirt again …..hes not a goal poacher or goal scorer anymore ….he offers nothing but blame Moyes for starting him and needs to go in January and be replaced !!

  3. We where shit for 80mins ing's did nothing and mubama gave us more energy and soucek finish was class and for mubama to get 30 mins he needed it.

  4. I don’t think it was all down to Mubama coming on for Ings because the gamestate changes in the last 10 with Burnley 1-0 up and they did sit back BUT Mubama definitely unsettled their defence with his energy and I’m so happy for the lad

  5. I'm still fuming Gonzo. How anybody can say that abomination yesterday was anything but daylight robbery is deluded I'm afraid. Don't blame Danny Ings, blame Moyes. I'm ticking off the days until he's history.

  6. When I saw Ings drift wide at the beginning of the match, my heart sank. Then again, Moyes gave him a chance to play up front with Bowen against Brentford, and he was equally ineffective. I'm happy to try Bowen up front for a few games, but Mubama comes on ahead of Ings and Antonio. If Bowen is injured, Mubama starts. I don't think he was amazing against Burnley, but he gave the defence something to think about and somebody for our players to aim for.

  7. I have said all season to give Mubama a chance. He has been working with the first team and has the ability and talent to lead the line. Hopefully he will start in Europe. COYI ⚒⚒⚒

  8. The game is for 90 minutes +. You have to play the whole game. That was the difference. All the teams that came up are struggling with this. ⚒⚒⚒

  9. In all honesty, Mubama hardly touched the ball, prior to creating the confusion which lead to the own goal. That said, he absolutely should be given more game time, certainly over Ings, as his youth, pace and enthusiasm simply offer more. Moyes however, with his defensive style of play, would stifle any striker, which is why so few have been successful under him.

  10. The pre-Steidten legacy is catching up with us again. Ings won't get a move unless it's close to free AND we cover a substantial part of his wages. Zouma would never pass a medical. Cress is a free because of his age. Antonio won't get a move because of his wage, age and injury. Fornals will sign a pre-contract in January and leave for free in the summer. And players won't be sold if it's not in their best interests. Tim will have these issues front and centre.

  11. Feel bad for Moyes – the expectations of the fans is high, precisely because he has delivered a few decent seasons. The season started really well and he was getting the support of the majority – they had 3 bad games, and suddenly everyone wanted him gone.

Truth is if we had won at Aston Villa, we'd be in 6th place and he'd still have the support.

So that's all it takes for fans to turn on a Manager – 3 bad games – and yes they were bad – I agree the team played badly – but not many fans were pragmatic.

The players support Moyes. They openly back him. There aren't media rumours of him losing the Dressing Room. Their aren't stories of him becoming isolated.

Totally agree about Ings – he needs to go. West ham and ings are not the right fit. Time for Antonio to go too – like the fella but he's too old. I'd get rid of Benrahma too – no longer seems a threat.

West Ham have a solid spine but still need 2 or 3 more players.

  12. There is another reason why Ings is in the team. We need to move him on and if he is siting on the bench he will never move on. Ings has limitations that make it problematic to fit him in this team. But he is on 125K per week so he can't just warm the bench.

He could do a job at Brighton who have more of the ball, but this may just be his level now.

  13. The goal from Mubamadidn't need to be a perfect strike Gonz, it only needed to be a goal that was good enough to get us back on level terms. As I said yesterdays video, Divin did twice the work Ings did in half the amount of minutes. If west ham youngsters are showing promise in their underage fixtures, then promotion to the 1st team with a realistic view of minutes is a must. These players theoretically will have bettwr players around them which may be the key to unlocking their full potential in making them shine even more. You are only ever going to know for sure if a player has what it takes if you see them mixing it with the first team by giving them minutes.

  14. Moyes always turns to "senior" players as a "safe" option. He doesn't trust youth. He said again in his press conference, when asked about Mubama, that "there are not many 19 year old strikers in the Premier League" and uses this excuse for not playing him. I hope he gets the nod for the Topola game but I'm not holding my breath. 🤔🤔

  15. Our record against Palace is patchy at best. (Antonio's brain fart anyone.?) So any points will be tough. And will be a slog now until May to keep in the top half. Good teams always can produce until the final whistle. The experts says. But when we do it. It's boarderline crisis. It's never dull.!

  16. This is the crux of the matter @gonzo – A better coach with this group of players ( x Steidten ) would give us a better chance of making the top 8. Moyes is killing the players, the team and the club. He is not capable kf talk g us forward to that “top8”

  17. 😮 Here's a theory (bit way out perhaps) Since apparently Ings was sprung on Moyes by Sullivan, he plays Ings knowing full well he will fail just to spite Sully . 😅

  18. Another, more progressive coach would play a “3” up top with Bowen, Kudus, Mumbama and allow for them to be fluid and ch she positions. Sides and rotate fall across the front three. Paqueta then comes into the midfield three with Alvarez and JWP

  19. From the start Kudos was marked out of the game and could find no outlet to create something. As soon as Divin came on you saw Kudos come to life because he could see an outlet for his efforts. Ings was fed nothing and got nothing! He needs to leave this system which does not suit him.

  20. Our players were weary after the international break and the gruelling fixture list. But as has been said a good team finds a way to win which we did

  21. With exception to the last ten minutes, we were very poor. With the players we have Ings or not we shouldn't be that bad. What is worrying for me is our goalkeeper has had to make the third highest amount of saves in the league 47. We won inspit of Moyes and not down to him.

  22. Sorry Gonzo, I've watched enough games where the winner didn't deserve it and just because it's West Ham we have to be humble over that. You can have the football purist view, I'll be the glory seeking West Ham fan.
