If Declan rice is 100 million player, how much will messi or ronaldo cost in their 20's?? Billions? That means they will literally be more worth than some top 6 premier league clubs. The only reason Declan rice is even mentioned as a 100 million player is because he is English. The same English media who will tell you Rice is a better buy than casemiro

Phillips is a better footballer and progressive pivot, sadly riddled by injuries. Rice is athletic.
I think the manager they have at club plays a major role in the development. He needs to leave West Ham and test himself. I think he could end up as a centre half like Eric Dier if he cannot improve his incision or passing in tight spaces.
I've watched Joe Willock this year under Eddie Howe turn in fabulous performances in ball retention and football iq, but further up the pitch it is easier. Needs to learn quick

I don't even think Rice is to 5 in his position. Why would he be worth a £100m? The overestimating of English talent has to stop.
I used to think this, but tbh the more I watch the more I appreciate him. His positional sense is unbelievable and he does the simple things so well, yea he doesn't score many but that's not really his role.
Okay let’s compare him with players in his position. Casemiro, Guimares, Partey, Caicedo etc

Fede Valverde mostly plays in the right wing although he can also play in midfield
I’m a West Ham follower but he is massively overrated. He doesn’t score goals or make assists. He can pass a ball and put in a tackle. If he’s welsh or Scottish he’s worth 30m max. There are many CDM out there who are much better.

Mount and rice both overated. They are decent but not worldclass. They are not game changers. Bellingham is worldclass and so is foden.
