I disagree I think Rice would be a great long term option for the left sided 8 role, the perfect Xhaka replacement. A player like Zubimendi would then be perfect at 6 playing as a deep lying playmaker, basically the exact role Jorginho is currently playing. That would make us unstoppable!
What I don't understand is that before he came to Arsenal, he had a good injury record.
Hello Charles, I think Ramsdale should stay at Arsenal for now till end of the season because it’s not England 1st choice at the moment as well and he should keep fighting for his place and I see him coming back soon as arsenal first choice.

In yesterday video you said Rice is the long term number 6. I would argue that Rice at the base makes us a worse attacking side. He can't progress the ball as partey or jorghino and Arteta knows it. When Rice played as a 6 Odegard keeps going down the field to start the attacks and gets further away of the final third where he is more dangerous.
On the other hand Rice has played as a left 8 the last few games and is looking as a better 8 every game it passes. Probably it wasnt the Arteta´s orginal idea but Kai not working as a left 8 means our best team is a Partey/future Jorgi replacement, Rice an Odgard.
Regardless of Partey's situation, CM is the most urgent position to strengthen.
The players here (Rice aside), despite experience being valuable, have at most one more season at this level.
We might feel we need one RW or CF, but we need three CM in as many transfer windows.
Maybe Patino makes the grade, Viera or Smith Rowe prove themselves, but I don't see all of them at Arsenal going forward.

I’m glad we dominated Sevilla, but it seems like there has been a lot of overreaction to a poor side that played even worse…trossard was good, but really struggled when he started up top vs Fulham, had to come off after 45 minutes. The less said about Havertz the better, including trying to fit the team around him to see if we can get a player out of him, which is ridiculous at this point for a £65m player. It is such a shame that a gifted and talented DM like Thomas Partey is constantly injured. He is too I jury prone. With a fit Thomas Partey all season, then we would have won the league last season. We are beginning to be frustrated with his continuing injury record and long recovery periods. Arsenal has no other option than to take action.

Partey is a great defensive midfielder but not suited for the Prem, his always injured. Definately should be his last season with us. We should have cashed him on him this summer.
If Arsenal want to keep hold of Ramsdale for the rest of the season to ensure cover, then Arteta owes it to give him games and rotate with Raya concerning the Euros.

A fit & firing Partey is world class but unfortunately he has never been fit for any meaningful period of time since joining the club.

Wouldn’t it nice if Joelinton admitted his push on Gabriel and fully expected it to be ruled out by VAR for a foul. Wouldn’t change anything except make the FA, PMOGL, all the pundits and every Tom Dick and Harry that stated 100% it wasn’t a foul, look absolutely stupid and reinforce the fact there is an obvious bias against The Arsenal.
Arsenal have to be very careful with the Partey situation.
His horrendous injury record will not improve due to his age and we risk Declan Rice suffering a complete burn out due to him having to play every minute of every game as there are no other options to help him out.
We need a quality midfield partner brought in asap to take some of the burden away from Rice and who is good enough to boss the midfield if, god forbid, Rice sufers an inury or is suspended.
It's only a blow if you really expected Partey to be fit. I never did. I think you are wrong – we don't need to replace Partey. If Timber can come back fit then there isn't a problem. In midfield Rice , Odegaard and anybody in our squad will be good enough. It's up front that should be our major priority – don't score goals – don't win games !! …last season we choked not scoring a single goal against Newcastle, Brighton and Forest in a three game run at the end of the season….doesn't that tell you something ? Jesus firing blanks and then bringing on Eddie is not the answer. Either buy another striker or put someone else in.
Arteta has caused this issue with Ramsdale. Ramsdale needs regular playing. Arteta cnotinues lying as he always does, stating that Ramsdale is important to Arsenal!
Arteta has said the same thing about other players and they ended leaving of loaned out!
