SEVEN YEARS! Southgate is one of the worst managers I've ever seen at the elite level. No club will want him when he fails next summer.
OPEN QUESTION….Does any fan on here want Southgate to manage their club after he finally fails with England?…..I'll wait.
It's a pointless comparison, saying he won't manage a top Prem team.
International football is completely different these days. Players have all the power, it needs someone like Southgate who all the players respect. We tried for years paying big money for top managers with big CVs and we were absolute shite. They all hated Capello. These days managers like Southgate or Rob Page are well suited, even if they would never be considered for the top jobs. I'm not saying Southgate is a genius, but we've done better under him than anyone else in my lifetime – so it makes no sense to me to criticise him as though he's useless.
Greatest achievement?
Keeping the job despite being drab amd utterly useless.
People talk of the "golden generation", the players Southgate has had available are way better across the board.
Bobby Robson would've won multiple trophies were Southgate failed.

We have had brilliant generations of footballers before, and elite managers (Eriksson, Capello, Robson, Venables), and they have all fallen short. Southgate has been our most successful manager since Sir Alf Ramsay. Simon Jordan is full is shite. Who will replace Southgate? Eddie Howe (unlikely)? Who are these elite managers who would jump at the England job? Pep (no), Klopp (no), Big Ange (no), Mourinho (no) … who?

Southgate's best move was in deliberately cultivating good relationships with the media. This has shielded him from a lot of media criticism and demands that he should be sacked – especially after the last world cup. How can he claim that going out in the quarter finals is "progress" after going further in the previous one? We went out to the first international class team we face din the tournament. Good at handling the media, pretty mediocre at football!

Southgate has no balls โฝ๏ธ, he took the lead against Italy and went deep into his shell. What kind of freaking loser mentality is that. Successful managers Fergie pep klopp for eg always went for the opponents throats. Southgate ainโt that guy.
