      Mate. I don't know what u have been watching but valverde has never filled casemiro's role. Playing as a starter he only player on the wing or the right midfield. I think the first game was against psg last year

      I love this guy more than any other players. His pace makes me fall for him all the time. He will obviously be one of the greatest player in the history of football, no doubt.

      Fede has been this good since Zidane’s final season. We, Madridistas, have witnessed it. He just wasn’t getting game time with Modric still playing at a world class level and Toni’s game management being critical to this team. Now the guy is playing almost hybrid RW and getting all the play time.

      Fede has always been a favorite of fans and media alike. Taking a newspaper headline out of context, from a notoriously pro-Barca paper no less, is severely misrepresenting the sentiment surrounding him back then.

      Also Carlo initially gave him a much smaller role than Zidane did. In 19/20 Valverde was playing regularly and playing well. In 20/21 less so, mainly because of a lengthy injury and Fede struggling to get back to form after rehab but at the end of the season he was back to fine form and playing many minutes. His stock massively dropped after Ancelotti returned, so much so that Fede admitted he was contemplating a departure. In the second half of the season Carlo's confidence in Fede slowly grew, especially after his performance at home against Paris, making him a starter in big fixtures to supplement the lack of energy in midfield with the aging Modric and Kroos against physically superior teams. This season he has become an undisputed starter.

      The departure of Casemiro has had no effect on (the playing opportunity of) Fede whatsoever. Tchouameni simply slotted into Case's slot in the line-up.

      Fede doesn't even play midfield under Ancelotti. He plays on the right. Sort of a hybrid between a winger and a wide midfielder, making the team change between a 433, 4141 and 442 constantly.

      The amount of misinformation, made up narratives and lack of research because of sheer laziness on this channel never seizes to amaze.

      Regarding Valverde, I've always been a massive fan, even whilst he was at Castilla and Depor. I always imagined he'd become a first team player who'd score goals from distance and yet he has surpassed my expectations. What an incredible player. The most allround footballer right now along with Kimmich in my opinion and one of my favorite players worldwide at the moment. I expect him to be one of the standout performers on the WC with a very strong Uruguay. Madrid is in a great position regarding the future with Fede, Edu and Tchouameni in midfield. Imagine that team if Bellingham were to join over the summer. Maybe Ancelotti might revert back to his diamond formation of the Milan days.
