Kai Havertz has struggled since coming to the Premier League via Chelsea. At Bayer Leverkusen, even as a teenage, Havertz had a distinct style of play and offering to his managers, as a silky-smooth dribbler of the ball, a solid passer who would set up goals frequently, as well as a multi-faceted goalscoring threat. Kai Havertz best position was always central-right, behind the striker, utilizing his prowess on the right flank, and coming inside for a strike at goal, or arriving late in the box to finish off attacks.
Since arriving at Chelsea, Havertz was often utilized as a centre-forward. From his second season onward, Havertz almost played exclusively as a CF for Chelsea. But with a move to Arsenal, Mikel Arteta seems to know where Havertz is best suited. All the while, he is seemingly low on confidence and misfiring in front of goal, where he used to be a clean finisher with his head or left foot while with Bayer Leverkusen. So, why is Kai Havertz struggling? By his own standards, why is Kai Havertz so bad at finishing now? How can Kai Havertz get back to his best at Arsenal? What is Kai Havertz’s best position?

Bundesliga is a farmers league, nuff said.
He should be a backup striker (as in a false 9) or better yet, a backup to Saka as an inverted right winger.
The Problem is that the Premiere League is Something Special. You can be an average Player in a forgein League and dominate in the prem and you can be a Superstar in another League and completly fail in the Premiere League. But this works also in opposite direction, we have seen planty of Star Players leaving The Premiere League (Mane, Hazard, Coutinho …) Failing in other leagues. The League Just dosent fit to any Player. Every Player should leave the League the Seconds they realise, that they dosent fit in. Go to spain, italy , french or Germany, but leave.
I think Havertz reputation kind of got ruined at Chelsea just due to the complete toxicity at the club. It was only really after that Champions league win, where we looked good pre-injuries, did he look settled and played well. He also needed a partner, which he had in Ziyech or Werner, but those pairings were not utilised enough.
It probably also doesn't help that due to his relaxed style ont he field, he looks like he's not trying, when he is covering a lot of ground. He always turns up in big games, but seems to struggle against lower sides.
I reckon he probably is struggling with the lack of space the Prem offers when lower teams do low blocks and also with the teams he was in, not playing free-flowing football (Arteta plays attacking football, but is still organised like Pep does). Annoyingly I reckon he would have done amazing at Chelsea now, taking that Cole Palmer role, but the ownership wanted quick profit and so sold him
Damn, this poor guy. I hope he finds his position again.
The only critism i have of havertz is that he doesn't shoot enough, he doesn't try to take people on, he doesn't try to make line breaking passes, i feel like everytime he gets the ball he's just going to pick the safest option possible.
Not cut out for PL just like Memphis Depay, Sancho, Pogba, Antony, Werner and numerous other players.
am waiting for havertz and vieira to pay us back with good performances
People forget that when he arrived in the prem he was much shorter he’s 6’4 now. His time will come soon for example it wasn’t until Xhaka’s last season at the club that he truly flourished. Havertz was bought for his versatility overpriced yes arguably a luxury player yes he and the team need to adapt I personally see him best as either a false 9 (look how he brought the ball down vs city for Martinelli to score) or as a RCM (almost scored vs Sevilla from that position) he’s currently very close to finding his footing IMO.
Better scam
Leaving Chelsea for arsenal got him cursed… there…. I said it
Havertz has been played all over the place in the PL, instead of playing him in his natural position and giving him the freedon to thrive and the time to adapt to the PL, he is being played as a winger or striker, which robs him of his strengths. Havertz is a CM, somewhere between an 8 and a 10, who thrives in the center of the pitch with the game ahead of him, in Leverkusen he played a similar style like Frank Lampard used to at chelsea. He never got a real chance to be that in the PL.
Havertz is also a quiet, low confidence player, that was already the case in Germany and escalated in chelsea. I am a firm believer in his talent, but he is the type of player that needs trust from the coach and the time and opportunity to have a few bad games in his natural position. That was impossible at chelsea, hopefully he will find his way at arsenal.
Bruh the dude ain't even performing that badly. It's only November. Watch him flourish in January
So basically an useless player unless you sacrifice the whole team so that he plays on the one position that he is good at?
12:30 this is just not true. Arteta has not only backed Havertz but also given him a consistent run in one position. whether at Chelsea or Arsenal, he has consistently shown that what he was at Bayer is gone. This is the real Havertz now. Get on with it.
Kai Havertz is just a player that thrives in the Bundesliga and not in the Premier League
