That’s the difference between the real belly dancer nd the wannabes( who try to force classic ballet movements into belly dance and get attached to coreographies instead of FEELING the music and dance the traditional Arabic dance
Seeing this with a mature sense of Raqs Sharqi makes me appreciate this video of her more. She’s becoming one with the music and not giving a damn about the “moves” and technique I’ve criticized her before , and just being the music. Her school of dance is different, as many dancers will have their own schools of dance, and this makes me more respectful of Dina’s dancing . Beautiful 😻

I took part in a two day workshop that Dina gave in Montreal years ago, it was beautiful to see her dance, and to get her feedback and critiques.

She absolutely feels every note of the music and expresses it through her dance. Her gentle smiles and nods to the audience. I adore Dina!
