That ‘rule’ about switching continents for WC’s is an arbitrary rule FIFA Made up and could just as easily change and skip to the next continent for that WC but SA is paying a ton for the WC and money talks to FIFA more than ethics (just look at Sepp Blatter lol) – FIFA had no prob changing an abritrary WC rule about the # of teams upping it from 24 a while back and now from 32 to even more teams to make MORE MONEY so FIFA just does whatever = money, ethics be damned – and they push their ‘open mindedness’ SO hard with the ‘fifa against racism stuff’ but its all talk
Oh and if you know about the migrant work issues in SA much like in Qatar, and you know about the THOUSANDS of migrant workers who became basically slave labor and died building those stadiums, if you think SA won’t have the SAME issue ur kidding urself…
No country is perfect but of all the ones that could viably host a WC there are atleast 50 more viable options that arent as extreme in their human rights violations (one example, NO free speech, and not like US people whining Trump getting kicked off Twitter, a private company not related to the gov, was ‘taking his free speech’ i mean u literally can be imprisoned, tortured or put to death for ANY mass gathering/protest (the link at the beginning is a short but necessary read)
