  1. unlike you to be so negative son..myself i,d like to see hall and livremento start against man utd ..why sign players and not start them is a puzzler ..if we get beat we get beat ..onwards and upwards ..why wish for january window when we,ll buy players and not play them again.. i could see eddie looked a bit strained yesterday at his press conference a bit unclear when answering a question about lewis hall..give the new signings a chance on wednesday nowt too loose that,s what i say ..

  2. His decision making is shocking. Great shot stopper, but Jesus he still cannot kick a ball. Iโ€™d keep him as a back up keeper for next season

  3. I think pope was a bit weary off dropping a soaking wet ball and thats why he punched it. The thing as well is that we have a highline in defence so when the opposition break through he has to make a quick decision.. I think great shot stopper but would love him to gain some footwork.

  4. I like pope and agree with you he's not the main reason we couldn't get 3 points on Saturday. His limitations with his feet are there to see and the modern game seems to dictate that build up from the back ability.

However he's fallen into a similar situation as Matt targett. Signed to improve our squad and to be top 10 players but we far exceeded expectations last season and now they don't look the top 4 level we aspire to be. They will be casualties and can count themselves unfortunate that the team will move on without them. For now pope is still our best keeper but wouldn't be surprised if we're already looking at a long term replacement.

  5. Since Pope had his hand operation, he seems to have a reluctance to catch the ball. Opting to puch or flap at it each time. Maybe it isn't fixed yet?

  6. Pope's a very good shotstopper, but he's never been very good at distribution with his feet.
The concern for me is his decision making. The punch was ridiculous, as he could have caught the ball unchallenged. Yes, Wolves then had to beat a couple of players to score, but there's no way to guarantee a successful tackle. If Pope catches the ball, the attack is dead before a tackle needs to be made.
He also had one of his 'rush of blood' sprints out the box earlier in the match, which didn't get punished.
He also did it against West Ham, which resulted in the Hammers scoring.
They need to work on his decision making if he's going to be a long term option.

  7. This isnโ€™t just because of what happened against Wolves. He constantly does stupid shit at the back. Constantly. A good shot stopper yes. But thatโ€™s the extent of his game. We need an upgrade next summer

Dubravka had every right to try and get out when he did. He was replaced when it wasnโ€™t needed, he was a top keeper at the time. Only reason he isnโ€™t now is because he doesnโ€™t play
