Maybe I’m an outlier, but I simply cannot find the energy to care much about how trophies look. I can understand being upset feeling like they’re phoning it in for the women’s tournament by reusing an already made trophy, but I also inevitably go back to not really caring much about the appearance of a trophy in general.
The design is fine but they’ll probably end up changing the trophy design soon anyways.
I think trophies shouldn’t change. It’s much cooler to have a trophy that’s been used for a hundred years than one that’s changed every 10 like the men’s Gold Cup.
So pick a distinctive design for the first one and stick to it. I hate the trend of updating and revising even when the new ones look “better” the loss of the history is never worth it.
Concacaf will probably rebrand the tournament and change the trophy. I already forgot what the mens concachampions trophy looks like cuz they kept changing it

I’ve never liked trophies like that with a thick middle part because you can’t get a good grip on them

It is insulting but this is standard fair in the women’s game unfortunately.
