The game has evolved with top teams deploying a high press , You cannot compete for top spots in the EPL without a goal keeper who can take part in the build up , But the defense also have to be up to it , you need a good keeper who is good with his feet

When people wanna know why so many people fail at Utd it is always the argument that the manager and the players are not good enough. People do not realise the amount of pressure at this club. And in its current state it would swallow most players up. It's easy to do well at your Brightons, Brentfords and with no disrespect even your Villas and Newcastles. You find out what a player is really made of when they sign for a club with the amount of pressure and scrutiny as you have at Utd
Onana is trash. The only reason he got signed to ManUtd was because Ten Hag Ajax connection plus his wage would be much cheaper than other top goalkeeper.

Remember at Inter where the defence was not only good as they defend as a unit. He was actually only being used on cup matches before he took over Handanovic. The pressure he's having at Man United is something any player can break.The best he can do right now is focus on the basics

The goal against Brentford, DDG wouldn’t have even attempted to save that. He would have stood there, done it before. DDG has been on a steep decline.

Buying a goalkeeper bc they’re good at passing is like buying a forward because they’re good at sliding tackles or a defender because they’re great at taking penalties. Need the fundamentals of your position mastered before branching out. My opinion anyway..

Can’t believe someone green lit the release of $47,000,000 ….. even $5000 for this bag of potatoes…. His positioning is unbelievably BAD. Can’t dive /cant catch/slow lethargic & really bad positional sense……. But hey he’s reasonably good with his feet …..just doesn’t stop a shot well
