  1. Definitely would have him ideal to cover RB, CB and CDM he'd be perfect signing really. Kimmich, Paqueta and Valentin Barco & this squad would be set

  2. He is 28 now and will be 29 before we can get him. Seems a bit older then one of our typical recruits. Since we can't get Bellingham I guess I would settle for a KDB, Kimmich, Rodri midfield.

  3. I'd take Kimmich over Phillip's. Kimmich has more experience at the elite level and working with Pep. So if we could get around 30M from spurs for Phillips it wpuld be a good replacement. Also nice job on CityXtra last night 👍

  4. You didn't give up on Phillips early, I lost most of my hope a while before you, but we both stuck by him as he is a City player. There is not a politically correct way to say this, but he is simply not bright enough, Pep said he can play on instinct, but is not able to absorb tactics.

Kimmich would be great for City, I think it is had to estimate whether we can get this over the line.

  5. Just watched you on City Xtra, it was a great panel, you and Martin are elite pundits. It is a shame I didn't watch it live.

If City had got a result, people would be talking about a Pep masterclass, who would have thought City's width would come through Gvardial and Walker. It is bizarre that he is accused of tinkering or overthinking when it doesn't work or genius when it does! Outcome bias is an enemy of learning!

  6. City Xtra was the Jonny and Martin therapy show, and I should know as a therapist! There is a danger of being so up to date that you miss the bigger picture, it is important in life and in sport to be in the moment (it is, after all, the only time we are alive: the past has already gone and the future is yet to come).

I was to make a comment about football fans in general talking about the game in terms of certainties, making definitive statements about players or tactics. This channel, in particular, is generally very good for people talking about opinions as opinions and takes place with good will debates.

It is important, I think that we phrase things in terms of what may happen, rather than certainties (the beauty of sport is that it hasn't happened yet, things may be unlikely, but are not impossible, we have all seen things develop that surprise us positively or negatively), and whilst we be attached to our favourite players and even favourite team tactics, we must be humble enough to understand that it may not necessarily work out that way.

Let us as City embrace multiple opinions, we are now a large worldwide fanbase, let us embrace differences of opinion, let us not call people names, let us not give offence, nor take it unnecessarily, let us teach the youth our history, but tolerate them when they act impetuously and not sneer on them.

There is no point in City being the best team in the world if we don't do it differently to United!
