the fact Keown thinks Rashford has been good for United shows EXACTLY why he hasnt a clue about United and I'd argue football in general
Rashford is much smarter than Simon thinks. i fully agree with Martin Keown.
this isn't just about form, this is about players that are getting picked despite not playing for their clubs
it should be a pre-requisite for players to play for their clubs if they play for the national team
I have a lot more of a problem in Southgate constantly picking Phillips and Maguire than I do for him selecting Rashford. Rashford's not in form but he at least plays. Phillips and Maguire haven't been first teamers for well over a year. Get. Rid. Of. Them.

I'm sick and tired of Rashford. He keeps alternating beetween progressing and regressing.
Rashford's goal returns somehow always stand up against his transparent attitude problem and that Man Utd are a bang average side. 16/17 (11 goals in 53 games) 17/18 (13 goals in 52 games) 18/19 (13 goals in 47 games) 19/20 (22 goals in 44 games) 20/21 (21 goals in 57 games) 21/22 (5 goals in 32 games) 22/23 (30 goals in 56 games) Apart the outlier in 21/22 where Man Utd were clearly carrying him as an expensive liability, he always delivers.

Martin's default of always defending players. Really makes him look foolish at times. I don't know what games he's been watching..? But Rashford has been in bad form of late. And I expect more from Simon than to tow the FA line, in defense of Southgate. People aren't putting words in his mouth. They're taking direct quotes in which Southgate's contradicted himself. He's not an elite manager. His favoritism, pragmatism, and poor in-game adjustments have hindered England from winning tournaments.
Rashford is the shining light in manchester united team if shining light means to dribble into crowd or dribble out of play and lose the ball each and every time one gets the ball!

Agree with this, rashford seems to be player that relied on his instinct, his tactical awareness, his tactical understanding far below the likes of saka or grealish or even Antony. He need to learn to play as a team, forget his ego, as Winger his main job is to provide assist not scoring. If he able to get rid off his ego, i think he could improve.

Recency bias? Watkins since Emery is only bettered by Haaland and Kane for PL goal contributions. His form puts him clear as 2nd best and most in form England striker and one of the best in the whole PL.
