Arsenal have been blighted with injuries in the early part of the season with six core players out of action, including Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, William Saliba, Fábio Vieira.

Mikel Arteta has remained optimistic in a press conference on Friday, saying that five of those players could be available for selection for this weekend’s fixture against Bournemouth.

  1. The way he's smiling says to me He knows more than he's letting on and it's not as bad as people are making it out to be I think it's a tactic so opposite teams don't know what team we will put out, may be wrong but that's my feeling

  2. Arsenal's previous doctor Gary O'Driscoll leaves and all of sudden they are plagued with injuries, doesn't seem a coincidence. Either way fit or not Arsenal won't win any League titles until they sign a clinical Striker who can score 20+ goals a season, Nketiah needs to be moved on if they are to progress and go the next step.

  3. What is there to smile when reporting about your injured players. Seems he is now happy he has an excuse if things go south. Bizzare manager with no winner mentality.
