  1. I really hope you are right Geo Antonio out could be a blessing in disguise really hope Kudus gets a start. I am pessimistic based on Moyes record of insisting on sticking to the same plan time after time.

  2. I don't mind him playing ings if he does something to compliment him, 2 upfront for example. If he just plops ings up there on his own I'll be majorly hacked off

  3. I imagine he’ll just go with Bowen and Kudus in the front 3 and they’ll take in turns playing central or on the right. A bit like we saw last Saturday when Antonio went off. When Antonio was missing in the 2020/21 season Bowen and Lingard played really well up top together when they had to play in the front 3.

Bowen’s goal scoring record is actually really good when he has started as a CF. I’m sure I read somewhere he’s got 13 G+A in 22 appearances since he joined the club.

Kudus has started every cup game so far, so I can’t imagine Moyes not continuing with that.

  4. This situation is what frustrates me badly with moyes (preemptive guess here). He’ll play the same style. Problem is no other player can play the Antonio role so tactic need’s changing/tweeking. But I’m yet to see moyes can do it. But still…. COYI ⚒️💪🏽

  5. Will Moyes ever make a decision that could be mildly positive or brave?. Why does he ALWAYS play it safe and never take risks that could benefit the team. To keep playing the same names to cover the same injured players isn't what we want when the results are average. Implementing youth and pace has to be better than the same old 6 out of 10 steady Eddie's who never make an impact surely!.

  6. Ings plays better in a pairing, but Moyeasyrus should play a false 9. Kudus, having watched him, is better as a 10 centrally. Let's see what the line-up is ⚒🫧COYI🫧⚒

  7. Everytime we have a big game next we have a suspect injury or illness. I bet there is nothing wrong with Antonio and he is just being rested for Newcastle

  8. If Alvarez gets suspended, put Soucek as the holding mid and Kudus as the box to box (his best position) and watch him thrive. His best position is NOT out on the right!

  9. I remember Kidderminster was a watershed for Kral, Diop and Vlasic. Moyes never really trusted them again. I wonder if Lincoln City will be the same for Ings, Cornet and Fornals. Tonight's line up might give us a clue.

  10. I agree, I think mubama should start this game. Because lets be honest, Ings does not work for us. I think a trio up top of kudus left wing, bowen to the right, mubama striker. And even if that dont work, then moyes can try to sub on ings.
But if Antonio is injured against Newcastle, it would be nice to see mubama come from a good win over freiburg, to also start against Newcastle. Danny Ings vs Newcastle wont work

  11. I wouldn't doubt for a second that Moyes will play Ings…..because he doesn't have a plan B. Then he'll talk the usual shite about Kudus not being ready…..apart from the hatrick for Ajax of course.

  12. Playing Ings upfront shows Moyes’s shortcomings as a manager. Ings is useless in a Moyes system, he is an
impact sub at best to play alongside whoever else is up top for the last 20 mins of a game.

  13. Sorry Geo. I don't agree. He can't do any worse than ings. Plus how's he going to learn if he doesn't play in these games. Look at Rooney he was given his chance and took it under moyes. Why not divine COYI

  14. This is very concerning for one of our key players. Nobody can replace Antonio, as I don't think anyone can do what he does. Just hope Moyes can deploy a strategy where we can effectively attack, rather than just sit back and rely on set pieces. The Kudos fans will clearly be wanting their man on from the start. I agree, this game will suit him more than the Prem games currently. COYI

  15. Ive seen a few reports saying soucek wants to leave…And we all know signing a new deals dosent mean your defo stayimg at a club so maybe he did sign a new deal to retain his value and now hes having a good season hell start gettong linked with bigger clubs again

  16. Sure people have made this point on here before but Ferguson is 18. Look how much he's thriving after being trusted by de zerbi. I don't know what more Mubama could have done pre-season to earn that trust. Understand Moyes is risk-averse – we know this -we just have to accept it – but for me it's a way bigger risk playing Ings in a position he's not suited to and expecting him to do a job. I try not to get too frustrated with Moyes because it's not as simple as just going out and getting the next de zerbi – there's not that many quality managers out there who would come to us, but come on mate – we can all see it!!

  17. Moyes is doing a fab job…but by hell Ings is yet another striker he cannot get a tune out of 😢
If the 18yr old striker at Brighton can get a chance why not Divin?
    Still, COYI ⚒️

  18. As Antonio is out and the kudus thing don’t work, moyes needs to practice tactic change because we may need to include Ings at some point, 2 upfront for a change isn’t bad and Ings will score goals

  19. Let's hope we hold Freiburg, as with Ings up front, we're playing with 10 men and will remain goalless. I would like to see Kudus, Mubama and Cornet as a front three and give it a go. Shuffle Kudus up front and bring Benny on if need be if Mubama looks leggy after 70 mins. Ings looks heavy, slow and devoid of touch, bring him on at 88 mins… Bowen and Antonio rested.

  20. i dont like tok say this but i kinda want antonio out for a while so kudus can prove himself in the starting squad in the pl, but knowing this moyes will still start ings over him

  21. Both plan B's are already at the club.

When Antonio/Alvarez are out, sod off the 4-3-3. Switch into a 3-4-1-2.

Thilo can come in as a centre CB out of possession, with a license to move foward with the ball, much like Alvarez.

And simple up top, slide Pac-man into attacking midfield, Bowen and either Ings, Mubama, Kudus as his partner.

Both ST have the option to drift wide or stay narrow with the wing backs getting foward in possession.

  22. I’m not sure I buy into the ‘Ings is a good player he’s just in the wrong system’ narrative anymore. I’ve always said it too. But if he was the player we’re saying he is, why does he get punted every season and a half from whichever club he’s at? And at 125k/ week… Ings is a disaster.
