Casemiro got sent off for basically the same thing last season, a push below the neck is a yellow or a warning but anything on the neck or above is a straight red, just what it is.

The Forest player shoved Rodri in the back and knocked him over prior to the scuffle and the ref should have blown for that foul and because the ref chickened out Rodri took his own decision!

He deserved it. People must manage their tempers. In the real world, putting hands on a person has worst results. His natural reflex should never be to wrap around the neck. Instant red from me.

Yep, he should have been sent off for his actions ….. although none of it would have happened if Gibbs White had been pulled up for his deliberate shoulder charge into Rodris back, as he clearly should have been …. what he did there absolutely infuriated Rodri!
It was a "Tactical Assault" to get some rest time…However, he's now out for 3 games including a big one against Arsenal….😮💨….
Two very good goals Jay and the win all this without KDB and City can continue to play well without Rodri who gets to rest for a few games.
