The Championship side were hit from all directions in the first half when Hwang Hee-chan opened the scoring after four minutes, to take his tally to four goals in the opening seven games.
Toti Gomes scored only his second for the club after 15 minutes to make it 2-0, with Wolves firmly in control of the contest.
But their dominance began to slip away as the half progressed, and the hosts grew into the game.
Omari Hutchinson’s equaliser got them under way, before Freddie Ladapo equalised before the break, with Wolves’ defence all at sea.
The second half also started slowly from a Wolves perspective, before Jack Taylor smashed home a third from long range.

Shocked how poor sarabaria was and then have a go when subbed .Get rid
look at the fixture list for the coming few weeks,i cant see a point being gained and by the end of october we will be on the same points , we are in serious trouble and i cant see us finding anyone to get us out of it with the players we have atm
Bring nuno back
Shouldn’t have let coady go in terms of leadership
Wolves are not even a good Championship club !!!
You both summed it up perfectly. Sack him.
Wolves can look forward to a thrashing on Saturday against Man City !!!
I've been positive up until now, we shown signs of class against man utd, and the first half against Liverpool, but now after watching that tonight I'm genuinely worried for us this season. We had no passion, no desire, and now we have man City and the villa coming up ! Not a chance in my eyes
O’neal the consensus is in it’s time to go and get someone who can shack up this team before we have same situation as last season bottom at Christmas.
Until Jeff Shi is removed then we are sliding back down the leagues. GON is a second rate, cheap, low cost option and the results are proving it.
You are not a bad side but were up against a team in Ipswich who have an outstanding team spirit , self belief in abundance and the skill to match. On any other day against any other team you may well have won . It was your great misfortune to come up against us .
Let’s focus on getting back up next year 😂
Never wanted O’Neill I always said he isnt good enough and was the cheap yes man signing for fosun! We need a proper experienced coach who can get the bets out of this group and will have the money to get players in Jan. we will have another season like last year we will sack him bring a new coach in at the end of this year, have a good Jan window again and then will stay up, we want be 13th like last season but I feel it will be so tight this year that 15th-16th is what we need to hopefully then push on next summer window!
Disappointed is massive understatement…., it’s completely embarrassing shi out GON way out of his depth and Hobbs just nods….. wolves are only going one way atm…. Heart breaking to watch
The club had the opportunity to bring a leader back (Connor Coady) but chose not to, that’s not GON’s fault, the people at the top are to blame for what’s happening
As gutted and worried as I am, it is really good to see Ipswich Town heading in the right direction. They have suffered decades of rot, and deserve all the joy their current team are bringing them. Hope they smash Narwich out of site in the derby.
Would love to see Ipswich have a crack at Manchester City, would be fun
Unless these players stand up and be counted, we will be severely battered by City this coming weekend.
we should have played Kilman for some leadership, especially to help Santiaga B in his first English game, too many changes, and Doherty and Jonny shouldn't be anywhere near the club, we need to start picking up points fast as 3 of next 7 matches I wouldn't expect anything, couple of easier looking matches and Villa who we seem to have in our pockets most matches. But 9 from next 27 isn't going to buy safety. The main things to fix are defence (Dawson) and stop Sa gifting silly errors as he's one of best stoppers in league. Needs consistency up front too, probably Sasa and Cunha as Fabio doesn't seem to have the PL sussed.
Get GON out and get someone who can set up the team correctly. FOSUN please sell the club, over £147mil made from transfers and not enough quality brought back in to the team.
Docherty for me was the only one who deserves a chance
Played Man U off the park which J.Lo prepared them for. Since then it's all on GON so negative and boring he has to go or its chump next season.
It's not good. After 20 minutes we were awful. Losing confidence in management ability to motivate players. First time I have said it but not sure the right people are running things.
😂Gary O'Neil…yowm in safe hands mukkas… get more practice for championship nx season. Only Villa big enough for the Prem!?
The fault lies with the manager. Clueless and out of his depth.
This is Shi’s club, his appointments and he is responsible. That’s what being a leader is about, trouble is the man is no leader. The sooner he goes the better and unless Fosun get serious about our club they need to sell. Shi has to go as he has presided over one disaster after another, the man as a leader of our club is a joke!
Talking about no leaders on the pitch, more importantly are there any leaders off it
O Neil out Today
Gallardo
The only positive. If it helps Ipswich on their way back to the big time, fine. For us, GON's got to goo!
Are we… Are we the crappest?
Feel for the fans as it’s such a way to go too watch a team break down so dramatically .
Ipswich did well and showed belief and desire which as a wolves fan I feel we don’t have .
Must work harder
And we need a real leader on and off the pitch !!!Fosun need to go .
They got lucky when we went up and had no plan to keep the best players and build around them .
Top to bottom we are poor , the players the manager the owners . Still hoping it will pick up , but generally dont see how we can improve .
I wouldnt be too hard on yourselves. We (ipswich) do this to a lot of teams thesedays. We seem to adapt well to what other teams bring. Trying to enjoy it while it lasts, because we wont keep the manager we have for long I fear.
