i find it very annoying that some fans still boo Zouma when he gets the ball. Time to get over it. He is a great defender and scores some great goals, as seen in this game. Please stop giving him stick and appreciate him for the player he is.
Alvarez is so disciplined in that position. Knows exactly what his job is & just cracks on with it. Our old number 41 wanted to bomb all over the pitch, which often left us exposed through the middle. This fella doesn't try & be anything he aint. Just sits there & destroys. Great signing.

For me I thought Bowen wasn’t the best I would have said he was the worse player in the West Ham team this game
Alvarez is something else, his work for the first goal was insane, we’ve got a serious player on our hands

I'll tell you where we are, "Quarter of the way from safety"………Yahoo! But we all see the game in different way's and I feel things 'are working in our favour' at the moment. We can't
knock the commitment & effort from the boys and that will be so important to keep it going forward. But we must improve on our quality, if we really want to be serious contenders.
I thought we gave the ball away unnecessarily on a few occasions but it good to see it didn't effect our mentality. I would like to start seeing more self belief in our play but I'm sure
that will increase if we win more games. I thought Coufal was MoM and we missed his mate, the a blooded & bandaged Soucek in a central/forward position, especially in set pieces
but it's good we have a great squad to replace players when required. My 'nether regions' tell me, it's going to be another massive season & City have already conceded to us!!! COYI

Anton the five positives are spot on but there were some learning points, which unfortunately are not new. #1 If we are not playing counterattack football we are lost in how we move forward.We have, in American parlance one play maybe two if you count corners and they work but thats it #2 Antonio is less effective when not in counterattack mode as he has too many players around him, prefers to spin the last defender or outrun one defender. #3 Benny dribbles too far and doesn't know when to offload, and although impressive in finding goal shooting positions he just skies it like junior school kid, he had 3-5 shots, all off target, Bowen would have had more on target and probably goals from them which would have killed the game. #4 Aguerd is iffy, Zouma was covering him, Mavropanos must be better, I hope he is fit soon. #5 substitutions too late in the game, Antonio should have gone off after 60 minutes to be replaced by Mo Kudus (Ings doesnt seem to fit our set-up) and although I love Fornals I would have brought on Cornet to replace Benrahma, a winger for a winger, and to rebuild his confidence at about the same time.

Great commentary last night Anton. I’m thinking 6th is on and Alvarez, Paqueta and JWP in midfield are the way forward. Antonio should play an hour then be subbed for his benefit. Bowen is worth 150million and I can’t wait for Kudos. Agree with you on Zouma.
Need to keep possession better though we give teams too many chance so we're pretty much guaranteed to conceed every game

Zouma was everywhere last night. A great performsnce. Also Jwp, Alverez and Paqueta played very well. The one touch, close passing was amazing. Nice shirt by the way. (Pun intended) im a huge fan of the mighty red hots too.
Zouma I’ve said since we signed he is a proper centre half,reads game well,senses danger,a wall in our defence.Also a threat in the opposition box,Captain for us absolutely,the players respect him 💯.
Alvarez what a performance there is a real uncomplicated no 6,quick to the ball,able to pass the ball forward,this is going to be a great signing for us.
Paqueta where do we start,I love this blokes attitude and he gets West Ham and the fans,I hope we keep him after this season ends,he is on another level make no doubt.
Thought JWP had a very mixed game, gave away the ball in dangerous positions, should have given a penalty away for handball at the end, but he did make some excellent passes and challenges.
Alvarez is class.

You were Moyes in for most of last season and you are one of the few that has been proven right. The stability and team morale are unreal. 3 consecutive European campaign, 2 top 7 finishes and a trophy. Moyesiah is our best West Ham manager in who knows how many years. COYI⚒️
