Perry looks like she’s in slow motion.
Really pleasing to see Joelle winning one, congratulations! Elshorbagy acknowledged her play in this tournament as one of the inspirations he drew from to get through his semi-final battle with Gawad which is really a brilliant affirmation of her game. Meanwhile, I also agree with the comment about Perry's movement being even more ponderous than usual and Joelle could have punished her even more with an even shorter game. In fact, she really looks quite heavy! By the way, does anybody know why none of the top Egyptian or American women were in the tournament?
Kind of an ugly finish but overall King deserved to win, especially after her insta-classic against Nele.

Perry always gracious. I think when you are frustrated at a decision, players can sometimes take that anger out on their opponent by being disrespectful at the end. But Perry never does that.
Great tournament for Joelle King, she was the best player on show there. So awesome to see them sitting together in the following match laughing and chilling too.

Honeslty that last review I thought it mightve been a let. Yes I know the ball was a bit further but Joelle was kind of in the way and didn't move at all so If that was me reffing I would've said let lol.
