  1. I’m going more and more off Bruno , as time has went on it’s more and more about him, his performances past doz games or so don’t warrant this contract and don’t warrant our praise ,

  2. Im amazed you think he’s done this to then stay a few year. No chance. His performances told me a while back he doesn’t want to be here. He’s just spent the last year or two telling us what we want to hear. He is off in Jan. for sure.

  3. My wife is Portuguese and she has a lot of relatives from Brazil, and she says that the Premier League is considered the best league by most Brazilians a lot of them want to play in England.

  4. This release clause doesn’t sit well at all, especially with the ‘£100m bid from Liverpool’ in the summer. If he loves the club as much as he claims, then why insist on a release clause in the first place?

I’ll propose a scenario here, Liverpool come back with another £100m bid in January and Bruno heads off on his merry way to Anfield, and to Klopp. Would that change your opinions of him? I’m not going to lie, I’d find it hard to look at him the same way if that came to fruition.

    Just my opinion.

  5. Release clause is interesting. Too low?
Hopefully this will galvanise his performance.
If the reason for his poor displays has been due to this contract that is a bit Concerning in terms of his motivation. That said, I found myself being a wee bit mawkish and sentimental re. contracts in the past. Pro footballers are the most self regarding creatures on the planet. Also. . . .
Longy is the lowest paid premiership player – or something like that. . . . .

  6. Bruno want to leave , if he agreed on 100M release clues that is mean he open to move to somewhere else
Any howe Newcastle is bigger than any player and if he wants to leave , doors are open , I trust dan ashwarth and our recruitment team who brought bruno to bring another elite player

  7. Don’t really feel invigorated by this announcement, feels more like him leaving is inevitable now.

Seems win-win for him and lose-lose for us. He’s getting more dollar, and yet he has us bent over a barrel.

  8. Why do posh geordies or geordies trying to be posh always pronounce YEARS as YURZ.Most of them on true faith do the same.Sad I know but just something I’ve noticed

  9. He may have only been in agreement to sign the extension if there was a realistic release clause (perhaps exactly to the value that Madrid have told the player and the club what they are willing to pay in upcoming windows) given his contribution thus far.

Makes sense on all sides to me

  10. Expect Bruno to be a Galactico perhaps as soon as next summer. 100m is very much doable for them and would be well worth it if he has another fine campaign this season with us

  11. Brunos been my fave player last couple of seasons loved everything about him.

Lets be honest here, he’s not performed since last season. His release clause tells me he’s not comitted to the cause and once a better offer comes in he’s out.

I thought alot better of him.

  12. Dont believe everything you hear from the media. Why would the club release any information on how much the release clause is, unless its come from Bruno's agent, but im sure the club would of had that in mind, and done something to stop his agent from blabbing to the media.

  13. Bruno loves it here! His family love it. His dad is loving it!

On the other hand if a huge bid came in from the likes of Real Madrid AND Bruno wanted to go, we've already got his replacement.

Sone people might forget that Bruno came to a relegation threatened team in a cold part of the UK, and he was gambling with his international place with the World Cup around the corner when he chose to join us. He's a special human being.
