On the transfer window deadline day, Barcelona managed to secure two of the best loan signings… possibly ever. And with João Félix and João Cancelo, Barca find themselves with, unthinkably, one of the best squads in Europe.

Today we take a look at why the Joáos solve so many of Xavi’s tactical problems, make Barca a force to be reckoned with, but also introduce a different kind of headache…

  1. It’s almost as if Xavi knew the issues himself and went forward with the system, because he knew Felix and Cancelo were likely going to come 🤷🏻‍♂️

  2. João Félix was the best player for Chelsea last season. At Athletico he was blamed for negative tactics by the coach. João Félix is much better than Pedri for Gavi will ever be.

  3. Pedri won’t be an issue because it lessens his burden of responsibility on the team. Now that we can operate without araujo or pedri, they can really work on their injuries and return and ADD to the team. Rotation will be key, especially with them returning from injury. We have to protect them

  4. few weeks ago, we were not creative enough, very static, had players playing way off their maximum abilities because they were playing in roles that didn't suit them and were overall very underwhelming and predictable
now the best midfielder in the world is coming back soon and our main problem is figuring out who to drop for him…
    thank you, joaos

  5. Never thought we would be in a situation to willingly bench Pedri. When teams don’t press i think pedri should play instead of de jong as he’s better at playing higher of the pitch and you wouldn’t need to break lines anyways in this case. But in big games, Frankie is untouchable, pedri on the bench or playing instead of felix

  6. Getting eliminated in the Quarterfinals in the UCL by a team like ManCity is very acceptable for this year, the team is still young and has lots of new faces, yes we have been saying this for almost 3 years but the team has been getting a major overhaul in every transfer window since Xavi and Laporta took over, this years squad is the closest we have to the perfect unit that Xavi requires, a good run in the UCL with good performances and a La Liga title is a very successful season for the club, exciting days ahead ❤ 💙
