The amount of big words that Simon casually throws into a simple conversation
Simono mentioned a valid point. Why does those mistake have to be H. Mcguire who did it? Why always have to be him? Dont tell me he wanted to be the highest goal scoring defender? Well, booing is just as bad as Arsenal cheering him when he came on as a substitute for Lindeloft. So dont just single out United fan for booing him.
This is down to Southgate, he picked a player that Is very rusty, simple as that.
Southgate dropped Trent and others in recent past, due to poor form or not playing regularly, and yet he won’t drop Maguire despite his consistently weak performances and rarely plays in the Prem.
United fans are now some of the most disgusting and deluded fans in the prem. I mean booing your captain is in excusable and cheerleading the hate dished out to their own players.

This generation of incredible talent in England will be squandered because of Southgate’s inability to get the best out of them. It goes deeper than just his weird allegiance to Harry Maguire. He’s an awful manager who makes terrible in game decisions and lines his teams up not to win but rather not to lose. Nobody blames Harry for accepting the England call ups. Us United fans are mostly upset now because he was too stubborn to leave the club and it meant United couldn’t bring in another player who actually suited Ten Hag’s ideas. All the other stuff like the own goals are comical at this point

If you think Maguire is being scapegoated, bullied or being treated unfairly, just ask yourself; do you want a footballer playing for your club/country to be someone with strength of character, committment to the cause, accountability, resilience and ingenuity, or do you want them to be a pussy ass person? Cause when you accept or even encourage mediocrity, you'll get the latter. Maguire has been coddled for too long now. Take a look in the mirror and just get on with it or stop playing football cause the highest level demands the highest quality and application.
Southgate is a lucky lucky man. He has one of the best crops of England players for decades, yet he still picks his little favourites like Maguire, Phillips who've barely kicked a ball and in Maguires case, certainly can't kick one in the right direction. Just imagine what a team, headed by Bellingham (the best player in the world right now) like we have could do if we were actually lead by a competent coach. Southgate, quit, because you're a boring person and a terrible coach/manager. I can garauntee you if you asked all England fans whether they'd want Maguire in the England squad or a different manager, a majority would take a different manager.
Don't worry Gareth, the joke will include you too eventually when England lose a major tournament because of your team selection.

There's a recent video of Maddison kicking about where the fans chant "Southgate's right, you're f… sh….te". No one cares because A) Maddison is in-form playing well for his club and getting into the England squad now. B) He brushed it off. What's happening with Maguire may be too far, but it's because he continues to be picked for the international squad and he can't get in his club's starting lineup.
He turned down a move to West Ham to keep the cash – Can't blame the guy but that is never going to be popular. He chose the bench of Man United over playing for West Ham because he knows Southgate picks him regardless and he's on a lot more cash. Is that his fault? No – but you can't expect it to be taken well.
How on earth can you blame the United fans? If you watched every single United game you would understand how awful he has been for 2 years. From always getting picked, to turning in terrible performances. And he was the captain yet showed absolutely no leadership or accountability. Then he comes out and says arrogant stuff in the media like 'I must be doing g something right' and 'I have nothing to prove' when he has been playing badly.
Listening to Southgate speak is as mind-numbing as watching his teams
Fans are not stupid, they can see a good/bad player. It’s not just mistakes, Maguire is not good enough and what makes it worse is for him to reject a move away from United, that just made the fans more angry.
