Haverts makes the team very unbalanced tbh they should keep saliba and Gabriel as cbs and Ben white rb and zinchenko at lb. I'm going to really enjoy coming back to this video if Havertz scores against UTD… You can't say Havertz was average at Chelsea without talking about their respectable 12th place finish last season. Maybe thanks to Havertz they didn't get relegated? Let's give some respect to the Germany international… Chelsea paid 100mil for some Ukranian tiktok star who scored 0 goals… Arteta's football is more modern and relies on many players scoring like 8-15 goals a season and not one big star…. Go take a rest all of you experts…

Given how Arsenal played last year i really don't understand the tinkering. Smith-Rowe would be a much better option im the role Havertz plays.

Arteta is not that good of a manager. Arsenal got lucky last year due to Pool, Utd, Spurs and Chelsea having terrible seasons
In fairness, Martin is right to day "give him time". Simon and Jim are idiotic here. De Bruyne was a flop with Chelsea

MK always throws in the "you dont know, you haven't played the game" bs, but Simon used it against him here and he choked like Arsenal with a 12 lead.
The only reason I can think of is Havertz size. Bringing Declan Rice and Havertz has baulked up the midfield. Other than that it seems strange. I thought Rice would just take Xhaka's position. Dropping Gabriel is a terrible decision.
Keown is right: some players need time to settle ( Bergkamp, Grealish, Henry, Joelinton,Pires etc…). But There are players like Paqueta, Guimaraes, Paulinha etc… that Arsenal could have bought for around the same price that looks like less of a gamble.
Keown says Eddie in the England squad, doesn't mention Havertz in the Germany squad

havertz is the most useless signing because we have seen how he plays from chelsea & people will say give him time because he just played 3 games, to those people i would ask, is havertz playing for the first time in the pl? he scored the champion league final goal but he was terrible throughout
Spuds got Maddison for 40M and Gooners get Havertz for 64M. Only one winner there and I hate the Spuds!
Kinda expected Havertz to hit the ground running at Arsenal but sadly that’s not been the case. Was never a big fan of the signing in the first place. At the same time, it’s too early to jump to conclusions imo. Football doesn’t have to be so black and white. Implying that he’s a failure just 4 games into the new season seems like an overly simplistic conclusion.
To Simon's question, the question is most of Arsenal staff and fans were probably happy to see Xhaka leave on a good note but now who takes that role to a new level consistently?
it's crazy what confidence does to a player. Havertz was one of the standout performers for chelsea even when they were playing kak (albeit I mostly looked at stats &), champions league winner, has moved to arsenal and changed position to midfield and has gotten into the positions necessary to score but now all of a sudden he is not good enough at all?
Havertz was signed early on in the transfer window showing that Arsenal/Arteta wanted him and have plans for him. He is versatile and composed in possession; I think he is good in the press and can make tackles at the right time. His runs into the box (stats) are amongst the best around, technically very good, likes possession and he can create chances. Agree that he needs to score more goals. But one thing is clear, if he doesn't perform, he will be dropped and managed accordingly.
It's honestly bizarre. I would have offered Xhaka another contract and used the extra money to get a decent striker. Havertz adds nothing.
Havertz is overrated
Looking at all this debate in the chat and overall makes me realize that this is probably the thing that keeps him from fully developing.
He really needs trust in himself and people need to give him a chance.
I am trying to remain positive about the Harvetz situation but I won't be surprised if he turns out a flop in the end.

Arteta isn’t deciding based on meritocracy & logic, rather emotion, arrogance & ego. To prove others he can do it. But it will cost Arsenal title, which is costing Arsenal points every game. If Havertz needs time, he has to be benched. Simple facts. The team is working extra hard just to cover his role & faults every game !!!!

So it’s Havertz fault Boehly screwed Chelsea? Havertz is a quality player being judged on 4 games. There’s always someone being scapegoated by Jordan & White who are clueless. Vieira was told he was too fragile & Odegaard was accused of being too lightweight. Now it’s Havertz turn.
