No way Alvaro be involved with 1st team (likely sold or loan out) Ten Hag was screaming at him before sub him off n put Lindelof LB. Dalot will likely start although prefer he plays RB n drop AWB as he n Shaw both simoly cant play inverted roles. Lindelof can cover or Martinez could move to LB depends the tactics. Whilst Ten Hag been poor the issue lies further up with Glazers ownership – they done this to every manager in 2nd season not quite backing with added signings or importantly moving players on.

Martinez and Dalot also play Lb aswell, meaning we could get another Cb and to cover for Lindelof and Varane if they get injured. And we still have Alvaro Fernandez( he may not be 100 percent ready but its rare for kids to be consistent)

Sure, I'd prefer Luke Shaw is fit, but weren't fans raving about Alvaro Fernández during pre season and can't Dalot deputize.
Timber started at left back for Arsenal, I'm not even sure who City's starting left back is. Liverpool wouldn't make a massive issue of Robinson getting injured for a few matches. Why do we always fall into this media trap of blowing everything outta proportion. Our starting left back in injured, we have versatile replacements, we dont have to go out and spend.

Give Fernandez a chance. He played enough minutes in pre season after all. If were not going to use him when we need him wtf was the point of giving him and the kids all those minutes, especially when it was at the detriment of the first team squad who clearly (eh) needed them ,more. Who knows, this could be his Rashford/Garnacho moment.

Pavard would be the best "panic-buy! right now – If Dalot is on the right and AWB, Varane gets injured Pavard has the versatility to cover for them.
I know people wont want to hear it but this is on ETH. We all make mistakes. LVG did the same – over trained the squad in his first per-season and everyone dropped off injured in the first few weeks of the actual season.
I think ETH has done the same. Upgrading the squad is good, but generally having 2 players per position is the standard, if both players are injured then its on the manager for pushing them too hard in preseason. Not on the club for not providing enough quality. Just look at our signings 70% are injured.
Get Weghorst in to Cover for Shaw no problem. Alvaro is going to have the break through season nobody expected.
