Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker has confirmed that he will sign a new contract at the Etihad Stadium after approaching Bayern Munich in the transfer window.
Benjamin Pavard was contacted by Walker about a transfer to Bayern Munich but eventually City negotiated and persuaded him to sign a contract extension. Walker said that this experience was of interest to him, but he respected Manchester City’s achievements and the club’s successes in recent years and preferred to stay here.
Walker would prefer to make a choice at Manchester City instead of going to Bayern Munich and decided to make a good decision in the future. The contract extension emphasised which club offers him the best opportunities and which club is in a favourable situation for him to play football.
Walker expressed his readiness to extend his contract with City, citing his time at the club and especially the successes achieved last season.
