He should start on one condition, that he does what Tent Alexander Arnold did and get a Haircut 😁
No! We need Gakpos defensive qualities, he is going to be a beast though, remember, clocked as the quickest player in the league last year
Boys I’m sure he trusts Harvey implicitly, it’s just there are a couple of better players in the position.
Our best ever performance was with Nunez through the centre and Gakpo out wide in the 7 nil win against utd. Nunez is an out and out striker and is way superior to Gakpo. Gakpo looked so good on the wing in that game but he isn't get in front of Diaz or Salah.
Nunez has to start, this is the season he explodes.
If Endo is all he's been made out to be and the shrewd signing, then the control should be there.
Nunez terrified defenders, they make mistakes because of him, even if he doesn't score, he opens up chances for others

Ofcourse you start Nunez lol thats not even a question. The fact people are overthinking just shows how ovverated Gakpo contributions to the team is. People are pretending like he is peak Firmino.
My word we do go overboard on players sometimes. Let him play when Klopp plays him and see what happens.
Gary Neville said it best, an opposition defender looking at the Liverpool line up is begging to see jota or Gakpo start. Nunez should start 100%. We’re soo much better with him.
I really don't get why Gakpo is getting so much praise and Nuñez is like still unworthy of starting. Gakpo is not existent so far this season in terms of impact and last season he had a few great games, but was far from consistent.
I don't think so yet .
I honestly dont understand why there is an hesitation to pick him. There is no one in our team netter than him in what he does. Teams would prefer him not playing against them. Klopp needs to drop his firmino like player obsession and stick with nunez up front, we would be so much better. He is a striker and he should be treated that way, not a false 9, or someone who must track back or something. Leave him top and he will score

The obsession with Gakpo is baffling. He has been anonymous this season, at the 8 and at the 9. Nunez should def start, he has earnt it and performances like yesterdays should be rewarded.
Nunez is a player for a frantic game. Gakpo is the player for low blocks
Klopp will be in headache 😅 Can't bench Salah, Diaz.. now Jota, Nunez, Gakpo all look good. yes start Nunez, he deserve to start.
I want to see Diaz, Szobo, Salah behind Nunez with a double pivot of Mac/Endo. Rafa style.
1:40 he must not have watched Villa against Newcastle cause if there's one thing that Villa don't do atm is sit in. They'll most likely have a high line of all of the game unless emery completely changes his recent tactics

The obsession with Gakpo is insane. I have no real problem with Gakpo, but sorry, what has he done to be a nailed on starter? Oooh the press, the press! We get passed around whoever plays, it's been that way for about a year now. . . Trying to come up with reasons not to start Nunez next week after Newcastle is insanity. What more can a striker do than that? I want a goal threat, I don't give a shit about anything else from a number 9.

Strikers win titles. Gakpo has never been a striker in his career and will never hit 20 goals
Think it might end up being a 2-2, can't see us not scoring against you, but Pau is still looking a bit green defensively amongat the pace and physicality of prem. Can see you getting one from a cross in (we're getting better but still shakey against inswingjng balls) and one from taking ball off us in transition.
Think we'll hit you quite early from playing out from the back, and then again on the break when you're pushing us.
I think Nunes would do better hitting us off the bench.

A bit left field but could Gakpo play centre half? He certainly has the skill set, physique,stature and intelligence.
Trusting Gakpo over Nunez are you on crack
Having watched Brighton dispose of Newcastle could Solly March be an interim measure to replace Salah on the understanding that we get over £200 million? Given March is 29 years old he can still do a decent job for a few more years giving us time to find the perfect replacement which will not be easy if at all. An agreement could be in place for January for both. As a result the aim this season would be to qualify for champions league as the very minimum.
