Pacemaker’s 800m final fail

Athletics: At the recent Diamond League meeting in Rome, Kenyan Job Kinyor had the role of pacemaker for the men’s 800 metre final.

  1. They call it "pacemakers"?
    My first thought was that it was a race for heart patients and all the runners were dependent of pacemakers to regulate their hearts.
    I really think they should change the name of this race.

  2. ay he did a good job trying to keep them on wr pace if they kept up with him for that first 600 and then had enough to sprint the last 200 that would have been close to wr

  3. Guy understood the assignment. The runners he was pacing didn't. If he wanted to go for he win he may have. He slowed down at less that 200m to thw finish line.

  4. David Rudisha's 800m WR splits are 49.28 + 51.63 so he maybe on to something but his engine is a holden not a honda
