Chelsea fans went wild when Enzo Fernandez scored a goal against Wimbledon in the second round of the Carabao Cup. They chanted Enzo’s name after the Argentine star broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute. The goal also propelled Chelsea to the next round, where they will face Brighton on September 29th.
It’s understandable that the fans were ecstatic watching Enzo’s performance on the field. Despite playing at home, Chelsea had a tough time breaking the deadlock in the early minutes and even conceded a goal in the 19th minute by James Tilley before Madueke equalized in the dying seconds of the first half.
Certainly, it was the right decision for Pochettino to bring Enzo in during the second half, as the Argentine star immediately made a difference for the team.
