JUDE BELLINGHAM is a COMPLETE MONSTER at REAL MADRID and here is WHY 😱

Hello, friends! Vamosito is with you again! And today we will tell you about Jude Bellingham’s phenomenon and why he has a chance to surpass all his idols!

A player who can do absolutely everything

Bellingham started his career in Birmingham at the age of 16 under the number 22. It was under this number that he later played for Dortmund, and his home club even retired this number in his honor. And that happened when he was only 17 years old!

But why No. 22? There’s a real story behind it. Birmingham’s longtime academy coach Mike Dodds told The Athletic: “He said he wanted to be a No 10. I said, ‘I think you can be a 22. ‘You can be a No 4, a No 8 and No 10 β€” someone who can do it all’.”
10+8+4 = 22. That’s the simple math. His eyes sparkled, Jude liked the idea of being a holding midfielder, a link between defense and attack, and a creator. I hope kids will look at Bellingham and dream: “I will be the next No. 22”.

In Real Madrid, No. 22 belongs to Antonio RΓΌdiger, so Jude chose another one – No. 5. And he did it for a reason, too. It was under this number that Jude’s idol, Zinedine Zidane, played for Real Madrid.

Yes, Jude is not No. 22 in Real Madrid, but he has shown once again that he is a football player who can do absolutely everything on the field! And it is just amazing.

At the start of this season, Carlo Ancelotti completely changed the perception of what kind of player Jude is. If earlier the Englishman was seen exclusively as a midfielder, in Real Madrid he has almost become an alternative to Karim Benzema! This is exactly what the Italian coach said when asked about the possibility of Victor Osimhen’s transfer: “Victor Osimhen is one of the best strikers in Europe but to be honest we never thought about him. In another way, we decided to compensate for the departure of Benzema with the arrival of Jude Bellingham.”

At first, it seemed completely preposterous, but now Bellingham has indeed become the player who has actually replaced the current Ballon d’Or owner.

How Real Madrid use Jude

When Real Madrid signed Joselu from Espanyol, it was obvious that the experienced Spanish striker would not play in the starting lineup. And all this hype around Mbappe from the very beginning resembled the last year’s situation, when Kylian remained at the Parc des Princes. Therefore, it was extremely interesting how Real Madrid would get out of this situation.

Ancelotti decided to play without a normal center-forward, putting Vinicius and Rodrygo up front, with Jude right behind them. But Bellingham has such phenomenal physical attributes that he manages to find himself in the finishing position over and over again. As for example, during this goal against Almeria following a pass from Toni Kroos.

The way Real Madrid use Bellingham is vividly illustrated by his heat map in the exact same game against Almeria. Just look at it! The Englishman appears on the flanks, in the penalty area, and pulls back. He is literally everywhere!

Jude’s performances in the first three rounds of La Liga are outstanding. He has already managed to score 4 goals and provide 1 assist for Vinicius Junior.

For comparison, Bellingham scored 8 goals during the entire last Bundesliga season. That is, in just three La Liga games, he scored half of all his goals from last year’s campaign. In the 2021/22 season, he scored only 3 goals in the league! Less than he already has at Real Madrid.

Bellingham’s last match against Celta, where he scored the winning goal, was perfect. Jude’s stats in that game: 57 touches, 90% passing accuracy, 2 key passes, 4 duels won, 3 aerial duels won, 5 fouls won. Wow!

It’s very remarkable that the 20-year-old Englishman doesn’t need to touch the ball very often to perform like this. In the first three games, he averaged 63.7 touches per game. That’s not too few, but not too many. Also he averaged 39 passes per game with an average success rate of 88%. Besides, Jude won 7 duels and committed 4 fouls per game.

Impressive efficiency! It’s scary to imagine what Bellingham is capable of in games where Real Madrid will dominate the opposition even more.

In addition to being extremely useful in the attack, Bellingham is incredibly good on his own half of the pitch. As you can see, it’s hard to get away from Jude, even for such a great sprinter like Nico Williams. Just look at how Bellingham caught up with the Athletic winger in the 1st round and took the ball away with a perfect tackle.

When required, Jude can even drop so deep that he can cover Dani Carvajal or Fran Garcia. In some episodes, like in this one, Bellingham acts almost like a third center- back.
