That's just a nonsense, the 100m is more worth that Rice. But to say we are better it's just stupid.
JWP: 2 Games for West Ham United. England Call Up? DEFO. Elements displayed thus far: Great passing range (And intelligent passes, that switch the momentum of the game for the better in a second), OUSTANDING set pieces (obvs), Outstanding Engine (Covers miles on the pitch and bursts his gut from CM to get into the box (doesn't stop running), intercepts the ball in midfield, makes blocks, totally calm in possession… Goals and Assists! He has been outstanding. Never seen a player adapt so quickly. Testament to his character and professionalism. Oh, what about Bowen, Jarrod BOWEN. 80-meter sprint on the counterattack, Messi-like touch, Owen-type finish?.. He's been on Fire!! and he's sha … never mind.

Declan was brilliant for us and was a major part of winning the European Conference League in my mind heโs sadly missed but another part of me is wondering if we wouldโve invested another ยฃ100m+ if we hadnโt of sold him?

Im a west ham fan and with the money we got for rice we invested it really well with jwp alverez and kudus and I do think were better off without dec but only because he was a massive player for us and we all know he wanted to play for bigger teams compete for champions league and we had to play a style of football around dec that wasn't working. But no west ham fan cant say they don't miss rice I do every single day

People keep forgetting we got to the semi final of the Europa League and finished in Europe that year too,,, this is a third year now , so first two a semi final and a win in Europe, I think we can say weยดre accustomed to it somewhat now!!
You get some numptys on here. I'm a Hammer but let's get things into perspective. We've started off well but it's 3 games. We allow teams to come on to us and dictate the possession and our counter attacking won't always be as precise or perfect as it has been recently. Let's just keep working hard, get the new signings settled and see where we are after 15 games. Last year we lost 20 league games so let's keep it real!.

Rice was a brilliant player for us… But 1 100million player isnt worth 4 30million players to our squad so it was holding us back… Not because rice is bad but because the team as a whole has now improved.
Rice was great for us, he fulfilled so many roles! There is a reason we didn't go out to find a like for like replacement because there isn't one. He used to dictate games. That being said, he was so good we almost had to fit all the other players in around him. Prime example is Soucek who had to go from being one of our better offensive options to a much more defensive role. This meant that tactically we had to set up different to how the players and the manager would have liked us to in order to accommodate, this left us without a clear play style purpose. This season you can see very clearly what our tactics are and everyone on the team has bought into that style of play and we look a lot more unified and disciplined. Not saying that is all because rice left but I do think players being able to play in their proper positions let's us do that more
When this Season ends, Rice will wish he stayed in west ham.๐ฎ๐ข๐๐๐ ๐ ๐ฎ

Rice over shadowed the entire team. He doesnt score goals or get assists. He upset the dressing room with his behavior and he was a bad choice of captain.
100% agree with the caller. I am sick of hearing about a midfielder that defends for 90 minutes and plays sideways passes. 10 goals and 10 assists in over 200 games. He was a good player but he isnt special.
Europa league semi final season before last. We beat Lyon 3-0 away from home and beat Sevilla (7 time winners of the competition)
So yes of course we can reach a quarter final.
