  1. This video is quality. Too many Internet fans and anti-British agendas being vocalised regarding Mount. Most likely they're not even watching/understanding his role.

  2. Ok first point

    – He is not being judged on 2 games, he's been judged also on his Chelsea and England career, we all have eyes.
    – 'Good at getting on the ball and linking the midfield to the attack' – Based on what? Man completed 15 passes in 85 minutes.

    So your argument is essentially Mason Mount did a few basic things in the first half that any player should do means he might be ablet to succeed as an 8 for United.
    This is simply not enough. His main problem is not what he does when he gets the ball but he hides from the ball far far too long and is a peripheral player. That's just not his game eg being a dominant 8. He's never done this. Chelsea + England not 2 games.

    He's just not at the level of Gundogen, Kovacic, Eriksen, KDB, Enzo etc etc etc.

  3. even before seeing this video, i dont understand the issue people have with mount. i genuinely thought the first two games he was one of if not the best midfielder out of ou midefield 3. he is the only one that provides us with the style of play off the ball than either of casemiro or bruno. i just dont get what people are seeing that im not

  4. looks like tenhag is experimenting with a new system this season. last season casemiro and eriksen played double pivot, united played a high possession-based football. whereas this season its fast transition football, pushing players to press up high too aggressively, causing gaps in midfield. reminds me of how liverpool were conceding goals last season

  5. Let me propose this. United spent 55mil on Mount, 47mil on Onana and 72mil on Hojlund. That's174mil on those 3 players.
    Which acquisitions would that 174mi been better spent on?

    Mount=55m, Onana=47m, Hojlund=72m
    Kane =100m, Hojlund=72m

    Kane =100m , Onana= 47m
    Kane = 100m , Mount=55m
    Kane= 100m, whoever with the other 72m

    And for anyone who buys into the story, Levy wasn't going to sell to a Prem club, I would ask this. If Levy had been offered 100m for a player who was leaving on a free in 9months by United, who in their right mind thinks he would say NO. Especially in light of the fact the player had emphatically stated he wasn't resigning and allegedly the owner had told Levy to sell him. You really think Levy would have said United fans should be livid about is the fact that Richard Arnold DIDN'T EVEN TRY. They never even got rejected because they didn't try. That was criminal. And so they are what they are. So, now they will have the same midfield as last year for the next few games, a 20 year old 9 goal scorer who's still injured and have question marks going forward without solving their biggest need……a top class consistent goal scoring forward

  6. I honestly forgot he was playing in 5he second half v Spurs. I get that people need to give him time to settle, but in the meantime let's not make stuff up about his performances. He's barely been involved in his first two games. He's been a passenger. Onana is completing more outfield actions than him.

  7. Why Man u team players struggling to make simple passes can you make a video on that . Not trolling really whenever I watch team plays I can see players struggling to make concurrent passes. why we can't do that, teams like Brighton man City liv even now arsenal doing it well

  8. @AJAnalysis Your analysis has always been rational in perspective and insightful. Much appreciated. Back to this topic, Mount seemed to play in similar game style close to that of Sergio Busquets ; Simple but effective. Mount's few ball touches revolves around intense focus on off-the-ball movement and reading of the game. With time and confidence, he would be the one guiding others positioning in the midfield bases of his mature tactical intelligence.

  9. I fear Mount might end up in the wasted talent catagory along wit Sancho, I see him in extremely congested areas a lot where his at his best but he isnt surrounded with technical enough that will actually try the pass, as well as players who jus dnt have that football IQ needed. Also another thing, Casemiro jus isnt of that level technically speaking if we want to play possession football wit a single pivot, rarely scans getting onto the ball, not a good dribbler n doesnt have that Toni Kroos like ball control where he can jus keep the ball effortlessly in situations u really think he'll lose the ball, passing isnt expansive enough n tbh Real fans were pretty much right bout him treating the ball like hot potato, we need a Enzo Fernandez/FDJ badly

  10. Should of signed Ugarte like i said would played with case but also would of replaced casemiro in a season with mainoo could then take over from casemiro

  11. The thing is that these days people expect instant success… er, look at any great team they always take time to build…. it is crazy that you have to explain this but there are many people that don't understand anything about sport and believe they are experts.

  12. You said you don't think he was the right profile we should have signed, same with me, but that you understand why "ETH brought him in" can you emphasize on this please….. I would appreciate that๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ

  13. Fans thought this was a suspect signing from the beginning nobody seen it coming because it doesn't fit hr is a 10 for a start, the fact Mount played 1 season in Holland is why he went for him,United is a fucking joke at the minute why can they not get Amrabat it is so fucking obvious this improves us

  14. Question for you AJ: have you wondered when Kovacic was available for cheaper which would have suited our need why we went for Mount?

  15. If United sign Amrabat you could technically solve the right wing issue and deep build/Casemiro isolation more easily. You could have Mount play on the right wing with a double pivot of Amrabat and Casemiro which is quite solid. You could then have Mount invert into the right half space next to Bruno, giving you a Bruno,Mount, Amrabat & Casemiro box midfield which each player in their best position and Mount able to push higher up the field but also drop deep if needed and support the overlapping fullback like he did at Chelsea with James.
    Only drawback is we don't have that super attacking rightback (Frimpong)

  16. Mount, spent 55million on him, champions league winner, super cup winner, Chelsea 3 time player of the year, 24 years of age…..all what u could have said but thanks anyways

  17. Most fans never wanted Mount in the first. This Mount propaganda os so annoying you guys are doing this because hes english. If he wasnt English he would be getting cooked.

  18. Ten hag is playing the "patience" game with mount like he did werghorst and sabitzer and Maguire but they let fred go ๐Ÿ˜‚
    It's like poor performing players want to stay and fairly okay players can leave๐Ÿ˜‚. When Ten hag goes to market, there's an actual prayer point so he doesn't come back with rubbish. United had luck with case and lasandro,malacia, varane too and that's beautiful but none of these are match deciders , none of these can single handedly influence a match, none of these can make goals week in with out

  19. I saw good things from his play vs Spurs. And in the second half, sometimes his own players weren't picking him out when he was in clear space and (seemingly) the best option to threaten in certain situations.

    I think, in general, our players need more positional awareness in the final third, with players (I feel) needing to review their movement specifically in relation to their team-mates. Yesterday, Bruno looked very leggy in the second half (for which I don't blame him, he puts a lot of energy into games) and that affected the second half quite a lot, I felt. I liked Sancho coming on but he was sometimes too static off the ball when we were in possession in the final third at times. Garnacho sadly had possibly his worst game. Hopefully, he'll respond well, start to adapt his game a bit and it'd be handy if he develops better defensive awareness, as we need that if our full backs are going to remain to be attacking threats.

  20. "Lisandro martinez had the least touches of our outfield players"
    That doesn't mk sense… our best player on the ball… why does ten hag keep letting teams force us to our weakest side…. by now we should hv experiment pushing martinez up like stones

  21. Deadwood ClearOut – Heaton, Henderson, Dalot, VDB, Bruno, Lindelof, Maguire, Williams, Sancho & Mount needs to go ASAP!
