The Seattle Sounders have loaned winger Jordan Morris to English Championship side Swansea City for the remainder of the 2020-21 season.

The 26-year-old is Swansea’s third signing of the winter window, following Ben Hamer’s move from Huddersfield and Conor Hourihane’s arrival from Aston Villa. The Swans are currently second in the Championship table.

Morris has been a wildly-successful homegrown signing since joining the Sounders in January 2016. He has 35 goals and 20 assists in 105 MLS games, winning two MLS Cups with Seattle and placing on the league’s 2020 Best XI.

  1. His strength on the ball with his bulldog build might fit pretty well at Swansea. However, he's gonna have to get used to the pace of English football. He won't have much time on the ball

  2. It's sad he is going to a team like Swansea, people may get angry but honestly it is like going to a second division team, and people hype the move like he is going to Manchester City or Liverpool. People is going to say "ohh but it is an EFL team", just be honest, it is not the premier league, it is not a great move.

  3. Why didn’t you do this for all the other mls players who went overseas this year huh mls? Your acting like Morris got bought by Manchester United, it’s freakin Swansea chill.

  4. man could not score against portland but this should've happened 3 years ago, he would be much much better and probably on the us 11 but glad they picked him up lol from a timbers fan 4 life
