Excelente resumen
It's clear that the New York RB defenders let Lionel Messi score. It's strange to be the subject of discussion and need not be debated anymore.
Don't want to take anything away from that goal but the CBs were just ball watching (probably froze in awe) as Messi was allowed to freely move unmarked in front of the goal.
There are 3 things here Messi does.
1. 5:15 He pull the ball from front to back to create space to feed the pass to Robinson.
2. 5:24 Again receives the ball in front of him, pull it back again to create time and space.
3. 5:26 Waits enough for Cremaschi to make a run and feeds it through 4 defenders forward.
4. 5:27 Then runs forward to receive back the pass from Cremaschi to score.
You might not understand how difficult that Messi's through ball was except you play or have played football. Thats an AMAZING passing

I take my hat off to Yedlin and crew for not letting ego's get in the way of the most decorated player in the history of the game.
