  1. Cancelo should have stayed within his bounds, you do not talk back the the Greatest Manager of All Time. Besides his performance was sub par defensively, we lost and conceded lot of goals and the flair wasn't enough to compensate for it. So as much as it bothers me in the end it's good riddance.

  2. Joao Cancelo not too long ago with Manchester City was one of the first names on the team sheet he started the season as one of the most inform players in European football last time around and he was flying, but after the World Cup he experienced a drop off in form where he lost his place in the starting lineup and instead of properly dealing with it like a professional and showing patience in trying to fight for his place in the lineup, he threw a strop in training and was loaned out to Bayern Munich in the middle of the season where he wasn't bad there, he was in and out of the side often benched and they decided to send him back to Manchester City where there he's unlikely to ever play for the club ever again.

People often forget that prior to the problems he had with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, Joao Cancelo at the World Cup was also benched by Portugal when he was with the national team so something for him must be going on in the dressing room training or his on field performances where at Manchester City he was dropped, Bayern Munich under 2 different managers he was benched, with the national team on the biggest stage in football, Portugal dropped him as well and this has been in a span of 8-9 months. Now Barcelona are ready to sign him on a loan with no permanent fee and he desperately has to impress there big time as he's capable of reigniting his career because he's just so good but the attitude and body language needs to be much better otherwise he'll be dropped by Barcelona if he doesn't perform.

  3. There are a lot of great players at City who don't start every week. Gundogan wasn't always a regular. Mahrez was the key player in City's run to the first CL final. Foden has been on the bench. Rodri, Bernado have all had spell on the bench. Even De Bruyne has been on the bench.

For Cancelo to run himself out of the club simply because of a bad spell was really mad of him. Even at Bayern, he still had benched roles. Rather be on the City bench but with a CL medal that, in all honesty, he would have absolutely deserved.

  4. Pep has said it a few times now – in 2022/23 he decided he wanted defenders that win their defensive duels. He gave Cancelo a chance in the first half of the season, but Cancelo failed to prove himself losing many defensive duels (famously the one against Salah at Anfield which led to the wining goal). Rico Lewis got his chance, Cancelo wasn't happy and left to Bayern soon after

  5. Man City never questioned Joao Cancelo's talent. The guy has serious attitude problems and he has himself admitted that he might be a difficult person sometimes in Man City interviews previously.

  6. Cancelo 🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍, an absolute snake 🐍 of a player. Was celebrating the goal against City and dreamed of defeating his parent club while on loan.

  7. Cancelo had been poor long before the world cup. Its why he didnt start games dosn the strechnthe previous season. He started the season really bad and got benched before the world cup. They he was bad for portugal.
