Arsenal are looking to offload several players in order to generate funds after spending around £200 million on new signings this summer. The club has already generated approximately £44 million through player sales, including Granit Xhaka, Matt Turner, Pablo Mari, Auston Trusty, and Konstantinos Mavropanos. Arsenal is now focusing on selling players who are not essential to Mikel Arteta’s plans. Folarin Balogun, who had a successful loan spell at Reims, is attracting interest from AS Monaco and Chelsea, with Monaco having already had a bid rejected. Kieran Tierney, who has been left out of Arsenal’s squad for the opening Premier League matches, is being pursued by Real Sociedad, who are hoping for a loan deal rather than a permanent transfer. Rob Holding is reportedly of interest to Turkish side Besiktas and French club Rennes. Nuno Tavares, who spent last season on loan at Marseille, has attracted interest from Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa, although a move to Forest is unlikely. Talks between Arsenal and Burnley over a loan move for Albert Sambi Lokonga have not progressed, and there has been tentative interest from Brighton. Nicolas Pepe, Arsenal’s record signing until the arrival of Declan Rice, is not expected to have a future at the club, and a contract termination is a possibility. Cedric Soares, who was on loan at Fulham last season, is also expected to leave Arsenal.
