Ryan Gravenberch’s View Differs from Tuchel in Transfer Saga
Liverpool might find a potential opportunity to secure the signing of Ryan Gravenberch, as the midfielder reportedly holds a differing perspective from Thomas Tuchel regarding his role at Bayern Munich for the current season. After failing to secure Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo, Liverpool responded by acquiring Wataru Endo in a £16 million agreement.
Nonetheless, there’s an anticipation that Liverpool will reenter the market for another deal, with Jurgen Klopp aiming to bring in an additional midfielder for added depth. While Endo meets the criteria Liverpool sought to fulfill the No. 6 position, Gravenberch is seen as a standout talent who can further strengthen the team’s midfield choices.
Throughout the summer, the Dutchman has been linked with a move to Anfield. However, Bayern has maintained that the midfielder is not available for transfer. Gravenberch joined Bayern from Ajax last summer, but he was only given a single Bundesliga start during that season.
Once again, he started the current campaign from the bench and hasn’t been utilized in Bayern’s first two matches. Gravenberch is discontented with comments made by Tuchel about his future role within the team.
Tuchel remarked about Gravenberch’s limited playing time, stating, “He only came off the bench in the friendlies and that’s his role at the moment.” Allegedly, Gravenberch disagrees with Tuchel’s assessment, and he is open to considering a change, with Liverpool potentially making a late bid.
If Gravenberch decides to move away from the Allianz Arena, Liverpool is positioned as the leading candidate to secure his signature. It’s been indicated that the 21-year-old could be available for a mere £22 million, though Liverpool faces competition from other interested parties.
