Ramdales a good keeper but him

This is probably a crazy take but maybe we might see them rotating every few games and in the end have about the same number of games played. Where we don't have a No 1, or rather, both are our No 1. They have pretty much the same attributes and kinda level on quality, and so, I don't think rotating them would affect the team as much.

Tbh i think they never saw ramsdale as the finished article and i believe that his confidence and attitude and personality is exactly what they wanted but interms of levels there is room for improvement but ramsdale is not going to learn from mat turner where as he will learn something from an older great keeper in raya so i really think its as much about bring someone in as good or better so they help each other grow into complete goal keepers.
Arsenals second string team is looking strong. Sprinkle in some first team players here and there and you have a team that can compete in all competitions
Raya is NOT and upgrade over Ramsdale. He’s potentially an upgrade over Turner.
He is a closer fit to Ramsdale which means they will push he each other.
I’m excited for our cup games bringing in Raya. We now have strength in almost all our squad.
He was never a replacement for Ramsdale he is there to battle out with Ramsdale and to push him for starting position just like every other position.

No team wins the league with plan A only, we need plan B and C. If we can’t adjust our tactics depending on the opponent we won’t be successful, the reason we wasn’t last season is because we could only play one way, when we bought tierney in for zinchenko he was being asked to do the same job as zinchenko when it was obvious during certain matches the inverted full back tactic wasn’t working, tierney should be asked to play the way he plays use his strengths instead of teaching him new skills which he is mediocre at best at
Both goalkeepers have phenomenal skills. The only difference is the level of quality at some point. We both know Ramsdale can do ridiculous saves. At some point, you'll find that, we've got a victory or a draw instead of a loss because of Ramsdale unbelievable saves. However, nobody can deny the fact that Raya is absolutely impeccable. His distribution ability is just phenomenal. So yeah, two great goalkeepers, let's go Gunners!

Tierney might not be the best ‘inverted’ left back in the league but I don’t think you can argue he’s a better defender than Zinchenko. Given that could it be argued with Timber as Right back playing the inverted role, would the defence be more solid with Tierney at Left back ? He is still the best defensive minded left back at the club. Has an excellent attitude both on and off the pitch and one of the best crossers in the squad. He did have a few injuries yes but last season was available for the whole season so you can’t beat him up for that anymore. How many Gooners would want to see him play for another PL team !?
As for Raya, with his passing I think he will be an advantage against teams that want to press high. He can beat that press but he also brings with his game the need to have someone that is great playing with his back to goal to hold up those long passes so might we in jan see a bid for a certain other Brentford player whose currently unavailable?
Another Leno/Ramsdale scenario. Now Ramsdale/Raya scenario. In each case two good goalkeepers and competition for who becomes the number one. If Raya becomes number one, Ramsdale will opt to leave.
People forget the huge drop off from Ramsdale to Turner. Raya is the perfect keeper to alternate between the different competitions.
Not seen a lot of Raya, but I’ve been concerned with Ramsdale’s distribution, a number of his mistakes and I really think he has to work on his penalty saves game!
Arteta and edu are moving like possessed men in this transfer window. If Raya comes in and is better than Ramsdale then good for us. I love Ramsdale and I hope he keeps his spot but he is a player in a team and if we have a better player and win things because of that I will much prefer that 😂
Now we are acting like a big club. I'll never forget Wenger not signing Alonso because it could kill the careers of Song & Denilsons at Arsenal… an unbelievable statement. The club comes first before sentiment to any players.
I love Ramsdale, he is the number 1, but Raya is also very good and can only be a positive for the club.
By the way… Alonso went on to be player of the season the following season at Liverpool, and then Real madrid paid alot of money for him, and he went and won the league and champions league with them.
But at least the careers of Song and Denilson were saved at Arsenal 🤦🏻♂️
