Arsenal have signed England defender Ben White from Brighton in a £50m deal.

White, who was a late call-up to Gareth Southgate’s England Euro 2020 squad, has signed a five-year deal, with the option of a further year. Arsenal saw two bids for the 23-year-old rejected before an agreement was reached with Brighton, who have inserted a sell-on clause.

  1. Saliba Gabriel and white what a back 3, fingers crossed that we keep saliba has the potential to be a superstar, could be our best defense for years, arteta needs to see sense and keep him, COYG

  2. If Ben White trusted himself and not sign a contract extension with Brighto last year, he could have had a bigger paybday since he would have been a free agent this season. Now his salary will be lower because of the transfer fee

  3. £50M for Ben White is a crazy overprice.
I feel sorry for him having that huge price hanging over his head in every game he plays.
It will be used against him every time he makes a mistake and/or have a bad game.
It will not take many losses for Arsenal before many Arsenal fans will turn on Ben White.

  4. lolololol trash signing. you got big clubs signing varane and sancho but this midtable club can only attract brighton players lolol. enjoy tenth you clowns.

  5. Big up Arsenal !!!
Tavares, Lokonga and White are good signings….Hopefully Arsenal can wrap up a great transfer window with a quality midfield partner to Partey; a ball-carrying CAM to rival and complement ESR; and a good goalkeeper to rival Leno!!!

Welcome to the family, Ben White!!!
    COYG!!!

  6. I never heard of this kid in it. Paying 50 mills pound for an unproven kid is a joke. Football is not football anymore, it is all about money and speculation in it.

  7. Tony Bloom- an example of how 1 a club should be run and 2 how business should be done. A true Brighton legend and the most important figure in the club’s history 👏👏

  8. no team overpaid that hard at times like this but then arsenal does this i am baffled doesn't matter if he's english or not i was hoping the market would stay a bit more reasonable. Maybe it's time football introduces salary caps and stuff bcs things are escalating i stomach footie not so deliciously anymore

  9. Neither Arteta nor Edu knows anything about their job, we just paid 50mils to get a defender from a club (albeit a good player) but we got a player from a club which we have defeated repeatedly all the previous seasons, rings a bell?
