This time last season, we were witnessing the most inspirational story of the playoffs, as Isaiah Thomas took the floor for the Boston Celtics just days after the tragic and sudden loss of his sister in a car accident.
On top of that, Thomas was clearly playing hurt for the latter part of the regular season and the playoffs, dealing with a constant hip issue that would later require surgery. But through it all, he battled through, showing incredible determination and perseverance in doing so. Boston’s season eventually end in the Eastern Conference finals in 5 games to the Cavs, but there was no doubt that Thomas had given everything he had for the team, fighting through the most difficult of circumstances.

He didn't sign an extension so celtics could make moves and when it's time for him to sign a contract they ship him somewhere. That rubs me in the wrong way. If you think that's right then go fuck yourself. Danny Ainge is an asshole.
Im a IT fan and a Celtics fan and we didnt play him dirty. He had a hip injury and was at his prime age we weren't looking for a contract extension.
I find it hard to muster sympathy for a person "only" making 9 million$ a year. He throws a ball into a hoop for crying out loud!!!!
And you got idiots out heretalking about how weak the game is because players aint loyal!
For a last pick he’s still not bad
Fuck Boston
Lebron had a right to do things his way. Who created the decision?
He did a Tom Brady but it didn't work in his favor.
Player leaves organization: a snake and a traitor
Loyal player gets traded away to another team: it’s a business
After her sis death
Poor Thomas. Now he only has his 20+ million dollars to fall back on 🙁 Poor Thomas
At the End of the day “Loyalty in sports is dead”.
God bless him but his unfortunate downfall changed the nba … players watched what happened to him and boogie and now they are done. Basically he was the feather that broke the camels back. This will most likely be a growing issue in the 2020s
All he got was a hand shake then got traded. If any player stays with a team through thick and thin, maybe is because the team tried to trade him but failed.
I really wish IT all the best in the future. Poor lad got his career screwed up by heartless team managers. He deserved more for his efforts and achievements… a lot more than a mere 2 million dollars contract.
Well, what you see here is the Celtics properly evaluating a player. Brad Stevens system was what made him have career years above his previous career averages and the Celtics knew it. The injury was just going to sap even more of his ability so it probably wasn't wort it to them.
He was never worth a max or even close, those brings truck slides were trifling for a man of his defensive abilities
People blaming Boston but not IT who demanded a max contract after being injured 😂
THAT IS SOOOOOOO SAD FUCK BOSTON AND FUCK THEIR SWEET CAROLINE
Kind of reminds me of how the colts did Peyton manning , he came back though and damn if the colts luck didn't run out lol
I came here after hearing Dennis Schroder missing out on $80 million.
If he wasn't offered a max contract he didn't lose anything
Their is no loyalty whatsoever hey I hope he invested his money well.
